Vegita listened. Some of it didn't quite ring true for some reason, but he didn't interrupt the young girl.
Here he was without a kingdom. Without a people. Without wife or son or even rivals.
Since this was not a situation he particularly desired, he would have to make changes.
"So you're saying that you are engaged against your will to an obnoxious jerk who changes genders frequently to be perverted, is engaged to a lot of girls so that he can fool around with them, and constantly insults you. Your father and this worthless person's father insist on this engagement despite your protests. You were regularly assaulted by the males at your school who wished to prove their strength to you and by one in particular whose social position is such that he can get away with it." Vegita scowled. It wasn't as if some human's social position concerned him at all.
"That's it, though maybe Ranma isn't completely worthless," said Akane, mumbling the last part.
Vegita stood up. "I see."
Almost forgotten (she'd have preferred to be completely forgotten), Nabiki saw an angry Vegita stand up. Akane seemed to have calmed down the angry Prince Of All Saiyajin somewhat, and though angry Vegita seemed to be controlling himself relatively well. She prayed nothing would disturb that control.
A moment later Nabiki realized it was not to be as someone else came onto the scene.
