Nodoka happily chopping white radish up for her stewed daicon.
Ranma playing happily with his golden dragon Minako.
Minako happily playing with her summoner, Ranma.
Genma sulking a lot and drinking heavily.
Neighborhood kids staring with round eyes as the weird martial artist family down the street had one of the neatest pets imaginable.
Minako wasn't a very big dragon, being a hatchling herself.
The first hint of this golden time coming to an end was a gleam in Genma's eyes and the arrival of several books dealing with exotic and far away training sites.
Muttered conversations on the phone, quickly denied by Genma, which phone records revealed as going to zoos and taxidermists.
