Okay, time to see if this works. After waiting a week for Koushiro to help install this, it had better not crash. Switch on!

Congratulations, ‘TK’, your registration is now complete. Shall we begin?
Lead on, MacDuff!
…I’ll take that as a ‘yes.’ Seto Kaiba has announced the Battle City Tournament to begin in one week. What most duelists, save for Yugi and Jounochi, don’t realize is that it’s a trap for Malik and his Ghouls in order for Kaiba to collect the two remaining Egyptian God cards: The Dragon of Osiris and Sun-God Ra. Kaiba received the third, The God of the Obelisk, from Isis Ishtahl, Malik’s sister.
And in Battle City, duelists put up their rarest cards to the winner of each duel. That’s how Kaiba plans on getting the God Cards.
Exactly.
Maybe Hikari was right; I am a little obsessed with this series.
Sorry?
Never mind. Now, about the cards. How far into the boosters does this game go?
Up to Ancient Sanctuary, although some cards have been excluded due to programming glitches during testing. Examples include Cost Down, Legendary Fisherman, and Blowback Dragon.
Well, there goes one of my 3 high-levels from my deck, along with some cards from Soul of the Duelist and up. What about the ones in Dark Beginning 1?
Most of them are re-releases, so naturally they’re included. This excludes Makyura the Destructor, but not Big Shield Gardna.
Good. Say, would this include the Tournament series, the promo cards from the movie, the Exclusive packs, and the six latest tins?
Tournament cards are fine. No cards from the movie, or the Exclusive series. And which tins did you mean?
Insect Queen, Blade Knight, etc.
Oh, those! Only Total Defense Shogun, Insect Queen, Obnoxious Celtic Guardian and Blade Knight are playable.
Okay, give me a second to restructure my deck… Okay, ready to scan.
Scanning now… fifty cards total… Scan complete. …You run an Exodia deck?!
I got the Master Collection and a box of DB1 cards with my allowance and birthday money. Lucky for me the four limbs of Exodia are commons.
I also notice you follow the Advance Rules; I failed to scan Sangan, Witch of the Black Forest, Monster Reborn, or Graceful Charity, which are all staples for this type of deck.
I’m lucky I managed to get the right cards to replace those. How about listing my deck so I can see if the scan was good enough?
Understood. Your deck includes the following: Right Arm of the Forbidden One, Left Arm, Right leg, Left Leg, Exodia the Forbidden One, Penguin Soldier, Trap Master, Man-Eater Bug, Needle Worm, Des Lacooda, Barrel Dragon, Jinzo, Fiend Megacyber, Magician of Faith (2), Amazoness Swordswoman (2), Nimble Momonga (3), Sonic Duck (3), Fiber Jar, Pot of Greed, Jar of Greed (3), Swords of Revealing Light, Call of the Haunted, Mystical Space Typhoon, Heavy Storm, Magic Jammer, The Shallow Grave, Premature Burial, Prohibition, Bottomless Trap Hole, Backup Soldiers (3), Judgment of Anubis, Snatch Steal, Change of Heart, Upstart Goblin, Reload, Sakuretsu Armor, Torrential Tribute, Horn of the Unicorn, and Hidden Book of Spells.
All there. Great. Now, which card will be my rare card or Battle City?
Not so fast, my friend.
Huh?
You’re still a rookie to this game when you start out. Before you can qualify for Battle City next week, you have to earn your reputation in a series of competitions. After all, a baby has to learn to crawl before it can walk. And in this game, you may be a friend of Yugi and his crew, but you’ve only watched them play up until now.
I see. Well, let’s go sign up for the preliminaries.
You’re already entered, actually. You’re on your way to see Yugi and let him know. But…
‘But??’ But what?
There’s no telling who you’ll meet along the way.
