We are going to summon the X-Head Cannon in attack mode and then blast away his defense monster with Kanan the Swords Mistress. Then we hit the guy for 1800 points of direct damage!!
You seem to have this all figured out. Aren't you worried about his little face down card?
I don't think that it should be a problem. I still have my Reverse Trap!! Let's do this!! Say: I play the X-Head Cannon in attack mode!! Then I place the monster on the dueling disk.
Alrighty then...you select the X-Head Cannon and place it on the disk. "I play the X-Head Cannon in attack mode!!" The holographic image of your monster appears in front of you.
In response, Shinji presses a button on his duel disk. "I activate my face down card...Trap Hole!!" As soon as he does that, a hole opens up underneath your newly summoned monster and it disappears from the field.
Say what?!? What the hell was that?!?
Shinji activated a trap card called Trap Hole. Basically, if you summon a monster with attack power 1000 points or more, it bites the dust. Special summons are excluded from the trap effect though.
That son of a bitch...
Well, you can still destroy his defense monster without having to worry. That should make you feel better.
It's going down!! I order my Kanan the Swords Mistress to wipe out that Frenzied Panda.
You give the order and your monster dashes forward to obliterate your opponent's monster. You want to do anything else?
I can't really do anything else now so I end my turn.
Shinji draws a card. "I'll summon Birdface in attack mode!!" A holographic figure of a yellow feathered bird with a black beak and horn appeared on the field. It wore some armour on the torso, wings and the legs.
Birdface?
It's a level 4 Winged Beast, Wind monster. Attack and defense power are both 1600. If this monster is sent to the Graveyard as a result of battle, Shinji there can add 1 "Harpie Lady" from his Deck to his hand.
I see.
"Birdface, attack!!" The monster swoops in and destroys your Kanan the Swords Mistress with little difficulty. Your life points have been reduced to 3800 as a result.
"I'll place two cards face down and end my turn!!" Two cards face down appeared on Shinji's side of the field as he placed them in the slots of his duel disk.
You draw your next card which turned out to be a magic card called Graceful Charity. With this, you can draw three new cards but then you have to discard two cards from your hand.
Sweet. There are some cards in here that are dead weight anyway. Say: I use the magic card Graceful Charity to draw three new cards. Then I will discard two cards from my hand!
You play the magic card and proceed to draw three cards from your deck...
