Ryu grinned savagely. "Don't count me out yet, little man. I'm just warming up."
Pretend to yawn and then say: "Yeah, yeah. Can you go any faster? I want to get into the finals while I'm young, you know."
Your friends chuckle as Ryu places a card in his duel disk. "I'll use this magic card...Nightmare Steel Cage! For two turns, you won't be able to attack me! Then I'll place my last card face down."
A creepy looking cage surrounds you and your Vampire Lord while a face down appears in front of Ryu.
Well, let's draw and see what we get.
You draw your Reverse Trap card.
Just set it face down and end turn.
The Rare Hunter draws a card. "I'll use the magic card Pot of Greed to draw two cards!"
Damn, that's a popular card.
Well, more cards means more options. He plays a monster in face down defense mode before ending his turn. You draw your next card which turns out to be the Shining Angel.
Play it in face down defense mode and end turn.
The Nightmare Steel Cage around you melts into nothing, meaning that you can now attack again. Ryu draws another card from his deck before he makes his next move. "I'll switch my monster from defense mode to attack mode! Lady Assailant of Flames!!"
Say what?
A level 4 Fire, Pyro monster. Attack power of 1500 and defense power of 1000. When she is flipped up, she can do 800 points of direct damage to you as long as Ryu can remove the top 3 cards of his deck from play.
Ow.
Your life points have went down to 2300. Ryu then plays another Salamandra magic card, intending to boost his monster's attack power to 2200 and destroy your Vampire Lord.
I don't think so. Activate Reverse Trap.
Instead of his monster's attack power increasing by 700, it goes down by 700 points. But Ryu doesn't seem to be worried. In fact, he looks deliriously happy and starts laughing. Not a good sign.
Say: "Why are you so happy?"
"Because by decreasing my monster's attack power, you activated my trap card, Card of Last Will! Whenever one of my monster's attack points decreases, I can draw five new cards!! Thanks, sucker!!" Ryu's hand fills back up to six cards.
Oh, shit...
"I sacrifice my Lady Assailant of Flames to summon a monster face down in defense mode! I'll then place one card face down and then hit your life points once more with my Final Flame magic card!" His cards appear on the field, with the Final Flame inflicting 600 points of direct damage, decreasing your life points to 1700.
I'm going to need some serious cards to help me out!
Just pray that your deck can come through for you. You draw your next card...
