Sights, scents, sounds, flavors, tactile sensations, each crossed and registered in each others' departments. Overall, had Ranma been a Doug Adams fan, she might later have said it was like being drunk, and added the bit about asking a glass of water how 'easy' that was.
She never lost consciousness though, as the wish forbade harm in execution. Ranma was too busy losing her lunch to care though, as nausea was in this case strictly a healthy mental rejection of the recent banishment.
That thought, the idea of *eternal* banishment from his home universe, was the first she had a chance to clearly consider as she gathered her wits and looked around. The weather wasn't damp, nor was it overly dry. She was in a alley between two buildings, the air about her scented faintly of the sea. Behind her, where was a metal wall just shy of touching the buildings she was between. In the front.. "Hang on. What in the living HELL--"
That was a *Soviet Tank* Ranma just saw drive down the street! She didn't recognize the make, not being a military otaku, but the Hammer and Sickle were unmistakable. And upon listening, Ranma heard gunfire, pinging away harshly at the area the tank went, until a *Phwoom!* was heard. She gulped, as the First Rule of a martial artist fighting gun-users came to mind. (That being *DO NOT DO IT!*)
She cautiously got out from the building and looked out away from the tank-based combat she heard to her left. to the right, she saw the Golden Gate Bridge. Geography was as unloved by Ranma as any other scholastic endeavor, but even she had heard of the famed bridge enough to know it on first sight. She was in San Francisco, a whole continent away from home!
Snarling, she headed to where the bridge jutted out over the Bay, ccarefully avoiding combat since she had no clue about the sleeveless soldiers or the Soviet troops. She had just gotten out on the Bridge a ways to get a good view of that odd wall, and had just determined it surrounded the base those sleeveless infantry were coming out of, when she saw something infuriating from the corner of her eye.
A athletic-seeming woman had swum out and was using some kind of explosives to sink ships attacking the city, likely Soviet ships from what Ranma had surmised, when torpedoes started to visibly trail thru the water towards the swimming fighter! Ranma had kept out of it to that point, but the idea of someone trying to take out a single swimmer with a submarine offended her beyond reason.
She'd been trapped as a girl, lost to her world, and thrown into a warzone. Ranma's outright fury and drive to stop this fueled her next action, as she DOVE off the Golden Gate screaming out her cathphrase attack. "Moko Takabisha!!" The normal confident hue of the attack was suffused with a aura of such anger it both turned the attack much bluer, but also much more potent. As Ranma had released it about 15' over the surface of the water, and directly over the Soviet sub, she was slowed to where it was a simple thing to dive into the water from that brief pause. The sub, however, dove in a far more terminal way, as the huge attack stuck the craft and detonated in midwater, like God's Own Depth Charge.
The fierce brunette blinked a bit, then got back to sinking the last two of her targets, several huge guns on shore apprently able to reach the remainder. She swam ashore and pulled two machine pistols from waterproof holsters, mowing down some bedraggled looking Soviets as Ranma got to shore in her own right. Ranma kept close, managing to not really be noticed despite the soldier's sharp eye. that lasted until Ranma saw the structure the woman was affixing plastic explosives to. On a pentagonal base, it looked like a Observatory with a metal hat on it, and so confused the former Neriman that she slipped up and made enough noise to be noticed, just as the building exploded.
The armed fighter ran up and held her guns on Ranma. "You one of Yuri's goons?" She was rather furious, ranma idly noticed, as the events of the last little while started to catch up with her. Ranma fainted even as Special Agent Tanya realised this was the strange girl that had saved her by means that made no sense at all.
Sighing, Agent Tanya decided to interrogate this one back in the base, as the girl didn't look to fit in anywhere. She swam slowly, supporting the unconscious martial artist, muttering a few times "I just *know* this kid's gonna drive me nuts, I just *know* it!"
