Ranma and Hobbes: Spring of Drowned Shih [Episode 9554]

Hundreds of years ago in China, there were the shih or Chinese Knights. Wandering martial artists, agents of the Emperor (or Emperess) who righted wrongs, protected the weak, and basically acted like a Texas Ranger or similar lawbringer. They did not operate openly but spent most of their career undercover as "just a wandering martial artist." Some became corrupted and as bad as those they had been charged to bring to justice. Others became all the more focussed on the need to do right.
Was it really that much of a stretch of the imagination for one such paragon, a skilled warrior of the Art and sort of "undercover policeman" to have come to Jusenkyo in their wanderings?
So when Ranma fell into the Spring, he came out:
