Ranma Misaki was on his way to visit relatives he had not even seen before. His mother told him that her father had a temple in Okayama. He was a little nervous visiting family he had never seen or even known about.

Katsuhito Misaki stepped inside the house at the end of lunch time to see his grandson in the middle of Ayeka and Ryoko. Everyone turned to see who had come in the house. Seeing that it was Tenchi's grandfather everyone turned back to the table.
Before everyone could leave the table Katsuhito raised a hand. Everyone at the table looked at the old man and quieted down.
"Everyone. In a couple of hours a man by the name of Ranma Misaki will be coming to visit. As you might of guessed he is another of my grandsons."
Even Tenchi was surprised at this. The only person not surprised was Tenchi's father who had a rare day off. Tenchi's grandfather seeing the surprise on Tenchi's face started to explain.
"Your mother was not my only child. Your mother had a sister Nodoka." The priest said. "However she married a man I did not approve of. After their marriage I caught Nodoka's husband, Genma Saotome stealing the shrine's treasures and scrolls of our school of sword art. The first time I let him off with a warning. After the third time I had forbidden Genma Saotome from ever stepping on the grounds ever again. I explained to Nodoka but she did not believe me. After that Nodoka left with Genma and I had not seen or heard from her until today when she asked if her son could visit."
Taking a deep breath the priest continued.
"She told me she had just divorced Genma and asked if she and her son could take the Misaki name. I said yes. Nodoka also asked if Ranma could visit us. Again I said yes. So Ranma should be coming in a few hours. Nodoka also mentioned Ranma has had a tough life and needed a place to rest and relax. So no trouble please."
The assorted guests at the Misaki House nodded and began to talk.
