"Stupid boy!" came the bellow of his father, "Where have you been?!"
"Sorry Pop," the pigtailed boy apologised, "But I saw somethin' cool happenin' and I had ta check it out!"
"How many times do I have to tell you, don't leave off your training for every meaningless thing!"
"I wasn't!"
The portly martial artist crossed his arms over his chest and scowled. "What did I say? You're too young and inexperienced to know what should be looked into, so you're supposed to listen to me when I tell you what you need to do."
"I know, but there were these people with lotsa neat styles, and plenty of skill, and I wanted ta know how they did it."
"Oh?"
"Yeah!" Ranma replied, "And I got them ta give me this list of places that have all sorts of special techniques and stuff!"
"You did?"
"Uh-huh! And I can't wait ta try 'em out!"
Genma took the copy that his son handed him and read it over. The list was long and had plenty of places that he could use to make his son become the best, even if there were a few places that he didn't understand, unlike the dojos and shrines. "This is great boy! Now all we have to do is to visit them!"
Beaming under his father's praise, Ranma prepared himself to start on his journey, hoping to meet all those people that the nice folks could be great friends, while:
