Vengeance: Wrong Protection [Episode 95995]

by Kender

Sitting in his dank motel room, Ran sat on the bed and sighed in relief. He was safe again, free from those who would hurt and use him for their own ends. There had been a time previously when he'd thought that was true, but when he'd gotten to the dojo, which was oddly in one piece and seen them there... The terror and pure rage that had taken him at that point had taken over. Once again, he'd lost control and attacked them.

They'd deserved it however.

There had been a time when he'd been secure in the knowledge that things weren't so bad. Sure he had more than one fiancee, more rivals than he could shake a stick at and a father who cared more about filling his belly than anything else, but it hadn't been anything other than what he could handle. He'd simply figured that everything would work out, and in the end he wouldn't have to worry about anything.

But he'd been proven wrong, and in one day he'd learned that there was no one that had cared about him. The fiancee that he'd save multiple times and done things for held him in contempt and had betrayed him in the deepest ways possible. The others were just as bad, with one treating him like some sort of trophy to take back to her village, and the other just playing games with him. Then there was the rich girl who'd wanted him as her personal toy. And he couldn't forget the one Tendo girl who'd sold him out completely while the other had admonished him for not allowing his life to be destroyed without complaining. Added to the father who'd abused him his whole life, and his friend, who both wanted him to marry the girl who didn't care about him no matter what.

In the end, it had just piled onto him so much that he'd been forced to take control of his own life. He'd shown them just what they'd been messing with, and stopped holding back. They had yelled and mocked him, but soon they realised just what they were facing, and that was what they had made.

He could still remember the look in Akane's eyes as she realised that any affection he'd had for her was gone, and he'd decided to fight her full out.

When he had left the dojo, it had been in ruins and the betrayers laying where they had fallen. That had been their funeral pyre, as well as for 'Ranma Saotome', as he had cut off his pigtail and thrown away his name except for that one part.

But shortly after refinding the Naban Mirror, he'd gone and discovered that the house was rebuilt, and those who'd hurt him so much were still alive and kicking.

They'd even had a fake 'Ranma' running around, no doubt in part to show him that he was never needed. Well, he didn't need them either, except in one place... and that was in burial urns.

He'd gone and gotten rid of them then, leaving once he'd been sure that the job was really done this time. He'd been able to breathe easier, and he'd hoped that was the last of it. In the back of his mind, he feared that they were like cockroaches, and that he'd have to do it again. Which wouldn't be a problem, save that he'd have to face them again.

As he plopped down on the bed, he never realised the fact that this was a different timeline than the one he'd been born into, and that rather than being betrayers, the people that he had just killed were innocent.

He didn't know that however, and so he relaxed while:
