Traveling through miles of darkness can make anyone mad. But this is just a walk in the park for Yami, he had more important things on his mind. 'Hmm... 3 women is useful for my harem, but maybe I need more?' (Maybe not important thoughts, just thoughts hehe.)
"Is there something the matter sire? You seem lost in thought, are you alright?"
"Ohh, yes I am fine DMG, just pondering what we will be facing soon." Not entirely convinced DMG left it alone for now, 'What could the pharaoh be thinking of? And why has he been acting so strange lately?'
Sensing a change in one of his loyal servants Yami believed it would be a good idea to speak with his aibou.
'Yugi are you there? I wish to speak with you. Yugi?'
'Yes, Yami I am here. What did you wish to speak to me about? And why have you closed me from your mind for the past 5 hours? I was very worried about what happened to all of my friends.'
'Umm..about that, I have been having a little fun lately and it caused me to temporarily forget our mind link. I am deeply sorry for that, but I have something to speak to you about. I wonder how to read a person's feelings or thoughts?'
'Why are you asking me? I am just a kid in high school, I don't know anything about feelings and thoughts. I thought you could do magic to feel out people?'
'Well that may be so, but you have many friends, that must give you a feeling of what they think. Right?'
'I know how they feel because we are so close as friends and as family.'
'Ahh, so that is how you predict their moods.'
'Your making it sound like I plot against them, what are you getting at Yami?'
'Nothing, nothing. I just wanted some information and you have been most generous.'
'Will you let me go see my friends now? I haven't seen them for a long time.'
'Soon, aibou soon. First I have some "business" to take care of.'
(Back to the Shadow Realm)
"Let us rest for a bit, I have need of your counsel, all four of you." Surprised by the sudden declaration by their master, the warriors nonetheless stopped and prepared to meet with their leader.
The three other females stared listlessly ahead completely overcome by emotions flowing through their bodies. "Gather those three and let us make camp at that alcove near the grove." Following their masters order's the minions herded the girls into the alcove and had the three sit down to rest. Watching as their master walked toward the tree all four followed to find out what the hell was going on.
"You all must be wondering why I have called you here, but I will get to that in time. For now let us get better acquainted, I wish to know all your backgrounds." Again shocked by the unothodox behavior of their lord, all four just stared slackjawed at their master.
"Well out with it, where did you guys grow up? What have you been doing before you became who you are? And other such questions."
Gathering courage to speak DMG started the exposition, "Sire, I come from the northern most tip of the Shadow Realm. I have been training all my life to better serve the supreme Pharaoh."
"We also live only to serve you sire. We three are the greatest warriors of our village and have come to protect and serve you my lord." Stunned by the utter devotion he hears in the two women's voices he asks the rest of the group if this is true.
"All my sister has stated is true my lord. We are bond to you til death claims us."
"Yes, it is as my sister says. There is nothing in this world or the next that will stop us from completing our goals."
"Very well, I understand your devotion. Now I may speak to you about what I hinted at before. I have decided that I wish to be more than a Pharaoh to you all. I wish to be a friend, and a confidante when you are unwell." Bewildered by their Pharaoh's statement all four women ask questions at the same time. "Enough, it has already been decided. I wish to establish a repore with my subordinates, this will be needed in the future battles to come. I have seen a great many dangers that are not something I can face alone. I will need your assistance to free the Shadow Realm and the world of my aibou from this threat. Will you assist me?"
"There is no question my lord."
"I pledge my life to you."
"As do I."
"Nothing less than my total devotion will see the light of day my lord."
"Thank you all, now let us see how the rest of the girls are doing? I grow worried about their constant vacant stares, maybe we can liven them up."
"As you command my lord."
"Yes, my lord."
"Yes, my lord."
"Yes, my lord."
"We really need to work on that, I can't have you guys calling me lord all the time. It will hinder our progress throughout this realm. But we will have ample time later to smooth things out." Walking away from the bewildered guardians Yami could not help the smirk that played across his lips. 'Excellent, excellent.' (Yeah, I know I have watched too much Simpsons hehe.)
