Exiled Jedi: That could work [Episode 96817]

by GaelicDragon

Now, for the Jedi’s pirate activities, there was a certain amount of parity between the crew and the Jedi. Certainly, decorum was followed loosely during normal times, but Ranma liked to have his crews try and give even the most asinine ideas to him. This one came from Tactical after Commodore Mancuso suggested that they use tractor beams to catch the fighters so that they could destroy them. Instead of using the Turbolasers, why not the ion cannons. You could salvage the entire fighter with an ion cannon blast (of course the pilot taking a fleet grade ion cannon blast tends to have major problems afterwards).

Of course, more presents for her love was a GREAT thing. Now to talk to Commodore Mancuso about it.

--

Commodore Mancuso just blinks as he hears the idea of catching starfighters. After a few seconds he says, “that could work. All ships, divert 2 ion cannons to coordinates given to you by our tractor beam operators.”

--

Ok, now Nabiki was getting nervous. Her smaller ships were being disabled, along with her Dreadnaughts which suffered enough damage by the other fleets ion cannon’s to be practically useless. And now her fighters were getting snagged and fryed by ion cannons like a Gammorian picking out morts. The modified luxury cruisers were still in the battle, unfortunately, not much else was. And this seemed like such an easy mark. And now her nav point was blocked by an as yet identified ship. “Now what else could go wrong,” says Nabiki as she looks toward her tactical screen.
