Genma kept his expression straight, " I said Ryoga here is your half-brother..."
Ranma was losing his patience very quickly, he wanted to wring his father's neck and pound the information out of him but he knew that would only make Genma give him the information slowly if not make him not tell him what he wants to know, "I heard what you said old man! I mean what the hell do you mean that Ryoga is my brother?! You never told me I had a brother!!" He shouted at his father.
Genma sighed, "It was for your own good my boy, I asure you."
"What do you mean by that?" Ranma spoke dangerously, dareing his father to answer his question. He fell for it.
"I did not want you to know that I had another woman before I married your mother. I was young, in my early twenties, and I already had a lover. Her name was Atsuko and we had been together for some time, but then we grew apart and that was when I met you mother Ranma. I knew from the moment I set eyes on her that I had found my match, so the nest day I told Atsuko that I had found someone else and bid her a painful Good-bye." Genma concluded calmly.
*POW* *WHAMP* *BAM*!!!
Ranma and the Guide watched in awestruck as Ryoga sprung out of his bed and immediately began giving Genma a beating he had long forgoten about. "You lieing bastard!! My mother told me you left her for another woman because she was from a rich family and after everything she gave you you still left her!!" Ryoga spat while holding his 'father' by the lepels of his gis in a death grip.
Genma swallowed hard seeing the furious fire burning in the boys dark green eyes, the same look Atsuko had when he dumped her. He still had a scar from that day to prove it too. He heard footsteps approach him and saw his son Ranma standing beside Ryoga with a cold stare in his eyes. "And how did you know that she was pregnant with your 'other' son?"
The room was silent for a moment, but what was five seconds to others was a second too long for the enraged teenage boys, "Answer the question Old Man, NOW!" Demanded the young Saotome, Ryoga simply tightend his hold on Genma's throat.
"Ok... Okay I'll tell you!" Chocked Genma, the hold slightly loosend just enough for him too breathe, "It was three months after you were born that I recieved a letter from her. It said that during the past year she was pregnant with 'my' son and she had just given birth to him a month ago. I never answered any of the letters because I was too busy raising and training you my boy. Now you know everything there is too know." He said, yet it didn't diminish the nasty red aura surrounding them nor the red glow in the young Hibiki's eyes.
Clearing his throat Genma gazed at Ryoga with a weak smile, "So... uh Ryoga... h-how is your lovely mother these days?"
'Wrong move Pops.'
An enraged growl escaped from Ryoga's throat as he turned his gaze to the elder Saotome, "She's dead. She died ten years ago and she never knew you knew about her pregnancy!" Cried the Lost-boy.
Ranma's expression changed when he saw tears streaming from Ryoga's still glowing eyes. He couldn't help but feel sorry for the other boy, having an idiot such as Pop as a father and not careing about his other kid, then losing his mother when he was still a kid. Ranma knew exactly how the other boy felt for he felt the same way. Maybe, just maybe, he and the Hibiki boy could patch things up between them, or not.
"Now now son, try to calm down. I mean... you wouldn't hurt your... own father would you?" Pleaded Genma.
"Try me." Ryoga answered coldly.
"Ranma my boy... you won't let this boy hurt your father, will you?"
Ranma glared at his father, "Like Ryoga said, Try me." Now Genma was really scared, "Hey Ryoga, just this once what do you say we have a little sparring practice." He asked his half brother evily. Ryoga gave a fanged grin, "Alright Ranma, a temporary truce for now. Then we'll see where that leads us. Agree?"
Ranma smiled and nodded, "Agreed."
'Help... me.'
