So he mentally reviewed all the questions they might bring up before he spoke.
Which proved to be a bad idea.
The reporters moved without him, their intrests peaked by the idea of being able to buy things that were new and mainly unknown. What they might recognise a lot of times came from stories or came in forms that were different than the ones that they were used to. They felt safe there as well, and knew that the general wouldn't allow them to come to harm if he could avoid it.
Unfortunately, they all had the same idea at once. Some thought that the group would follow their movements while others simply decided to slip away for a few moments just to get a chance to peek at the wonders that they could be the first on their world to buy. It would have been merely a small detour in any case, and they figured that a tiny look to see what amazing goods were on sale was worth it.
But in reality, when they moved, it made the assembled group disassemble all in different directions. The general was face with the sight of the heralds wandering away, some into nearby stores, and others continuing on.
He had one simple thing to say about what he was seeing.
"This can't be good," he muttered to himself, and knew that his words were true. Even though the various merchants weren't going to harm or terribly cheat the heralds, these folk didn't know what would be a danger, a problem or simply harmless. Which would mean that they would possibly be in for some problems if he didn't round them up and fast.
The problem with that was that they had filtered into the crowds rather quickly, with only the occassional sight of one of their devices popping up.
Knowing that there wouldn't be too much time before one of them got into trouble, Tchon moved to round them up while:
