Exiled Jedi: Fighters at Last! (LIME) [Episode 97374]

by Lionheart

Nabiki flew back to her sector, tired and worn out - and more satisfied with life than she could ever remember being. The Jedi had used her, body mind and spirit, and she couldn't say she wouldn't have done the same in their place. Or that she hadn't enjoyed every minute of it. Heck, she'd ask them to do it again if or when she could!

That Ranma. She shook her head, amazed white goo didn't come flowing out of corners of her ears even after all that washing up. Yah, that Shampoo girl was right. Nabiki had a strong mind, mess with that and she'd fight it off sooner or later, perhaps. Probably. She hoped. But get her in the sack with Ranma and there was no going back. He was too amazing, way too good to give up! Even without the mind tricks she'd do whatever they said to get back to him again, she accepted this as fact.

Nabiki was owned by them and she knew it, even liked it.

And there was no hope of turning them in, either. One hint of this and the Sith could take her Ranma away forever! Nothing was worth that risk, not even her mind getting cleared out. Well, not precisely cleaned. Compulsions were useful if used right and these were expertly employed, no behavior limitations other than ones against turning Jedi in. She just wished they'd trusted her skills as an actress, as there was no way she'd risk her new secret joy. All she could think of was keeping them happy with her so she could be back with him soon - and that had been before those compulsions were laid, merely after she was.

The only question now was how to tell her father she was pregnant?

===========

Ranma, reading over the fighter's specs, paused to glare up at the TIE. "There is no way I am ever going to put a pilot in this death trap. It may be fast, it may be maneuverable, but its skin is so thin micro-particle debris would kill it, and it has no provisions for shields of any kind. These things are made to be expended like..." He trailed off, could think of nothing so disposable.

Now, you reading this could probably finish his phrase "like bullets." Because they are thrown toward an enemy in vast quantities to do harm, and the loss is accounted as small. But the Jedi had no comparison, as slugthrowers are almost forgotten in his environment.

"... like combat droids." He finished weakly. But the simile didn't quite fit, combat droids had value enough to be salvaged and put back into use for the next battle. The power arrays on this thing, not to mention how delicate the frame was, would leave virtually nothing left if it got destroyed as even the lightest damage was likely to do.

The Emperor liked them.

He liked them because they were cheap in every sense of the word; and that made mass manufacture possible on a scale no one had ever before dreamed before. He could flood the galaxy with millions of this fighter, have their presence felt nearly everywhere to exert his authority, and cost was cheap for the coverage. Plus, losses could be replaced as fast as casualties could occur, so as long as the Imperial Training Academies could crank out pilots to match, losses of TIE fighters could be ignored.

Ranma didn't have that option of throwing away men and starfighters like used bathwater. Again, he had to make the most out of what he had.

The Jedi dropped the design specs down to his knees in dismay. "There's no way. I could boost the speed of a Y-Wing more easily than make these things survive combat. Maybe if I got a few Headhunters I could do something with those. They have a good reputation as solid, dependable starfighters." He mused.

Shampoo lay slumped over the nearest stack of crates, looking rumpled and more pleased with herself than any human being should possibly be able to get unaided. "If is problem, TIE enemy fighter. Now know weakness, true?"

"True." The fresh and active man conceded. The Force replenished him and he was learning to use that more and more as he saw need for it. It was also helping him to learn the healing aspects of the Force, for himself and others.

He began to regret not being an admiral in the last war. There was so much about space battles he wasn't sure he knew enough on yet.
