Err... well...
Working in this lab gave people the feeling of working on the edge of the technological frontier. Every day advances were made and science grew in leaps. Not only the original computer programming and hardware were becoming greater, but so were the fields of metallurgy, hydraulics, communications, among others. Each person who came there could see the future of mankind being built in front of them.
And at the moment, that was quite literally, because at that moment, Naru was peering over a workspace that had been built for the investigations into said technologies. She didn't go into the clean room for fear of messing something up, but as one of the few people who knew what was going on, she was able to help as much as she could.
And she got a bit of surprise as a stubby three fingered hand came up next to her and reached for the volume switch on the radio.

Looking at the cameras that served as Haruka's eyes, she nodded in understanding. "That's okay. I just didn't know that you were there."
Then my new tread system worked.
But I am not for the moment.
I didn't think the music would disturb you that much...
It didn't. 'Sailor Quest' is on, and I don't want to miss it!
It is? I hope that this time they actually get past the ogre's helper and get to him...
