All was quite in the Library of the obsevatory the only sound being that of the occasional turning of a page or an even rarer clink of china. Brod was involved in one of his all time favourite activities, that being sitting down with a good book while drinking a cup of tea with the obligatory selection of biscuits. Turning another page of his large book he began to start the reading of the next chapter while one large hand reached out for the almost empty giant sized mug of tea that sat next to the half eaten plate of biscuit. Taking a sip from the mug, eyes never leaving the page, Brod released a sigh of contentment it was just so relaxing.
The sudden flash, complete with loud bang, ruined the feeling and caused the troll-giant to jump spilling tea down himself and all over his book, which was the point that really annoyed him, of course when he looked up and saw the big ball of black fur falling down towards him from the ceiling he soon forgot the damaged book.
Pity he noticed too late to actually get out of the way.
