The problem was that while fear and hate and death were all quite tasty and fed yoma of its sort, the other sort of thing was just as repulsive as its usual feeding material was sweet.
Courage, confidence, love, and that sort of thing was coming off those gathered in front of it.
This was bad.
A little bespectacled boy named Hiroshi stared at the demon and the dragons and an angel and wondered if perhaps his father was wrong about Santa Claus as well.
Belldandy spread her wings and clasped her hands in front of her and did something the yoma dreaded.
She smiled.
It was so gosh darn overwhelmingly cute that the yoma felt like going off in a corner and barfing.
The dragons hissed and looked considerably less cute.
FWOOOOOOM! came a cone of flame from Minako's mouth.
Ka-ZAAAAM! went the lightning from Makoto's mouth.
Schnick! went the spear of light that came from the cutely smiling angel's hands.
The yoma stared in disbelief at the little angel.
"Well, I do come from a warrior Heaven," apologized Belldandy to her opponent.
Poom! the yoma went.
"I'll have to go now, Keiichi-san, but we'll meet again," said the angel as she faded out.
"Uhm, you into the martial arts?" Ranma asked Keiichi.
"Not really. You play softball?" asked Keiichi of Ranma.
"Hmmmm," said the two young boys.
"Beryl didn't tell me that the boy had two dragons or that a member of his class was favored by the heavens," mused Jedite. "Perhaps I'll have to get involved after all."
Poom! appeared the yoma, with one arm in a sling and bandages covering most of its body.
"Gah, you still smell of burnt yoma, get out of here," commanded Jedite. "Go somewhere people won't notice you to recover. Try South Los Angeles."
"Bleah," said the yoma, fading out.
"Hmmm," hmmmed Jedite as he made his plans.
