Chibi-usa had shown up to say the timestream was threatened and about to change and that she had been sent back to stop it. Sailor Pluto had been ready to gloat and rub this in Sailor Moon's face - evidence that she was right and killing Ranma was the only way to preserve Crystal Tokyo.
Then another Chibi-usa had shown up. And another. And another. And more. And Chibi-usa twins and Chibi-mamoru and White Lady and Pink Lady and...
Each from a different potential future. Each telling a tale about how Uncle Ranma had ended up with:
Sailor Mercury (who had nearly passed out from blushing), or
Sailor Venus (who was still grinning manically), or
Sailor Jupiter (who was smiling a little and thinking deeply), or
Sailor Saturn (who was still blushing and looking shy), or
Sailor Neptune?! (who wasn't present or she'd be in denial), or
Sailor Uranus?!?! (who also wasn't present or she'd have fainted), or
Sailor Mars (who was looking thoughtful) OR,
Sailor Pluto (who was ignoring the possibility) OR
Sailor MOON?! (who had questioned whether this was a trade-up)
"Okay, you're new, who did Ranma end up with in your timeline," asked Ami of the pink haired girl with the military school uniform.
"Don't you know? You're his daughter, for all that you're the same age almost," said the teenage Chibi-usa.
"Excuse me?" asked Ami.
Chibi-usa sighed. "I know all about it. Your mother was at a New Years party, so was Uncle Ranma. Uncle Ranma wanted to go sleep it off and found a nice quiet couch out of the way, and your mother had a similar idea. One thing led to another, and pretty soon your baby sister Megumi was born. Ranma's mother insisted on the honorable thing and..."
"That's enough. I get the picture," said Ami, twitching.
"WHOA," said a big guy with oddly pink hair.
"Chibi-usa?" asked Ami, glad for the distraction.
"Ain't nothing chibi about me," said the guy so automatically that it sounded like part of a running joke. "Auntie Ami? What's with all the pink haired chicks?"
"Who did Ranma end up with in your timeline?" Ami asked, wondering how Ranma's influence had changed things for Usagi and Mamoru so much that each pairing had a distinctly different Chibi-usa resulting.
"Auntie Ranma?" Dai-Mamoru looked around. "Oh my gosh. She was a guy back then. And Dad really was a girl!"
"A yoma that caused genders to switch?" said the listening Pluto. "So Mamoru's your mother and Usagi's your father?"
"Yeah," said the big guy. "One of those Sailor Farces when ya were fighting Galaxia. An' I know Auntie Ranma and Dad are kinda close, but I guess it took awhile for Auntie Ranma to get used to being a chick. Now that I'm looking at it, it makes a lot more sense."
"Urk!" said Usagi, trying to picture Mamoru as a girl, herself as a guy. Then herself and Mamo-chan and a female Ranma... "Eek."
"So we fight someone named Galaxia eventually?" noted Ami, jotting it down.
"I can just feel the paradoxes mounting," said Sailor Pluto.
