And they were not nice people at all. While they might have had others they knew with comparable power and strength, these folks were all together for a common goal. Each of them wanted to be a part of those that made the decisions, and planned out the future of the world. This was not meant to be nice, or kind, and they would go to whatever lengths they thought were neccessary to make things go the way they wanted them to.
However, the sudden appearance of a magical kingdom, complete with a possibly powerful military and prince was of great trouble to them.
One by they looked at each other, aware that even without this group they had put together that they were some of the most powerful people on the planet. Some boy with some fancy tricks was not about to intefere with their plans, and they knew that it would mean that this could be a great possibility for them. But they had to use their influence wisely, and they had already learned the art of manipulation. They knew that some might find them... arrogant, but they also knew that they had experience in such matters. Adapting those techniques to a 'magical' kingdom would take some work, but they were certain that they could manage it.
So they sat back, secure in the certainty that they would soon get control of the situation back into the 'right' hands, which would be their own.
So they sat back and relaxed as much as their natures allowed while:
