"Who are you?" she asked.
"I... I'm Ranma Saotome," he answered. "Who... What are you?"
"I am Mahoro, a general combat android who has turned to serving as a maid."
"An an.. Android?"
"Yes. I am capable of many different modes of fighting, and have experience in such matters," Mahoro said matter of factly, "but my purpose is to now serve as a maid should."
"What's that mean?"
"Oh, it's really quite simple. I cook, clean and keep the house for my employer, so that they would have nothing to worry about in that regard. It is the maid's place to seek to care for her employer, and to make that person as comfortable as possible."
"I think I understand that," he asked, "but what are you doing here?"
"Where is 'here'?"
"We're in some secret room under my family's property. I fell in and found you here."
Her face screwed in concern. "Oh my! Are you alright?"
"Yeah, yeah. I just never expected to find a girl under my house."
"I am an android, but I can appreciate that it must have been a surprise."
"You can say that again. Still, it's almost like it's a sign."
"Why is that?"
"Because I'm taking over as the manager here," Ranma told her offhandedly, and having a maid like you would make it a lot easier."
"It would?"
"Definately. I wouldn't have to worry so much about that sort of stuff, and the help would be something really good. Heck, if you wanted, I'm sure that you'd have work here for as long as you wanted."
"Would I?!" she asked in a happy squeak.
"Well... yeah. So?"
"If you are asking me if I would like to serve you, I accept!"
"GYAH!"
"I will do whatever I must to help you, Master Ranma!"
His fear now gone, Ranma just looked at her in confusion while:
