M'reth smiled slightly and shrugged. "It is different than the world that I come from. We don't have the same things that are here, and so it's going to take me a while to get used to it all."
"I'd say so. But then again, at least you are learning."
"Kind of hard not to, even though they sent me in a group of misfits."
That brought a slight frown from the elf. "What does that mean?"
"Well, try and imagine a drow paladin. Or an elf sorceress who is very... sensitive about her appearance."
"How am I 'sensitive'?
The Mithra gave the other female a long look. "Remember that one town when they ignored you when they were trying to hit on all the 'pretty ladies'?"
"It was insulting, and they were jerks."
"Or when that one attacker called you a 'little girl'?"
"He just underestimated me."
"The time the sailors laughed at your figure?"
"I had to avenge myself!"
"You also took out a bit of that dock," the theif reminded her, "Quite a bit, actually."
"I know..."
"But everyone's got to have a dream, right? Your's just happens to be to find a spell to enhance certain... features."
Sniffing mightily, the sorceress crossed her arms over her small chest. "It's not like I need to run around getting powerful attack spells."
"About that, we can agree. A whole lot of people can agree about that."
Laying down so that he could relax as he looked at his friend, Pewter thought about now having a friend. It was something new to him, or at least as close to 'new' as possible. He'd had other hatchlings he'd been able to play with, and he'd gotten along with a lot of the others of his kind. But he'd been a bit of a loner and had never completely fit in.
If he had to suppose about anything, he'd have to say that it was due to his curiousity and impatience. Those were things he knew he had to work on, especially since the elders kept on reminding him about that. However, he was one who enjoyed fun and excitement, and wasn't reluctant about trying new things. Sometimes that caused problems, but he had been able to handle it.
And now that willingness had led to this.
He didn't know if the other dragons were that close to him, but he knew with certainty that the humanoid before him was a friend.
And since part of being a friend was helping them out he stayed with her as he waited for her to recover while:
