Shiro got kicked in the face by Ranma, who slipped around the guy's neck a moment later and began repeatedly striking the thug in the side of the head.
Hotaru ran between Nobuo's legs, and claws flashed briefly.
"YEAAAAAAGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Jiro tried to strike the catgirl after Nobuo started hopping around, clutching his knee.
Shiro finally reached up and grabbed the kid pounding him, then began slamming the boy into the wall repeatedly.
Hotaru turned, planning to leap to Ranma's aid.
"Got you," said Jiro, lifting the girl by the scruff of her neck.
"Rrrrrrrrr," said a wolfgirl who'd been watching for her chance to get involved. One leap and she'd be able to show the boy that cats weren't so reliable after all!
"SHADDAP!" Nobuo lashed out with his cudgel, catching the "dog" girl in the leg and spinning her off.
"Looks like your little hero ain't gonna save you after all," said Jiro as he started pressing the catgirl into the wall. It would be interesting to see if the wall gave or the girl's bones broke first. Then they'd have proven to this idiot waitress that they were thugs to be reckoned with!
"Beating up children? Except they seem to have done a fair job on you. ."
Jiro growled and threw the catgirl at the guy standing there smirking at him. "You want some too?"
The rooster-haired individual stepped forward, idly swatting Nobuo out of his way. "Come on. You guys aren't even worth the effort."
"Oh yeah, just try stopping me," boasted Jiro, flipping a hardwood cudgel around in his hands.
Tsubame winced and looked away as the sounds, those horrible horrible sounds, commenced.
The crunching wasn't so bad - you could pretend it was meat being tenderized. The sound of growling and biting wasn't too unusual. The sound of a cat hissing and tearing into something wasn't so bad.
Combine those three sounds with sobs and broken pleading, the occasional scream of pain? That was heavily unnerving.
"Gee, I think you ticked them off by attacking their owner, you ought to get a doctor to look at those before they get infected."
Tsubame looked at Sagara in disbelief. "Aren't you going to do anything?"
"Nah, they just needed the odds changed a bit," said Sagara. "I've had moments like that myself. They need to vent now."
"Rowrrrrrrrrrrrr! Hssssssssss!"
"Rrrrrrrrrrrrr!" (CHOMP!)
"AIEEEEEEEEEEE!"
"When you're done venting," said Sagara, "I'm taking your friend to the dojo. We've got a doctor there."
