Ranma's New Fiancees: Trouble To Trouble [Episode 100900]

by Kender

One of the things that Nabiki enjoyed doing was watching television and movies. She liked the easy entertainment, and didn't mind the occassional hour or two spent vegging out when there was nothing better to do. It wasn't a major effort, and she got to enjoy it without having to wonder about large expenses or a lot of effort.

At the moment though, she was learning something. As she had watched movies with bumbling idiots trying to catch small animals or children, she had wondered how fools like that could be believed. Sure she had seen her share of deluded, thoughtless and/or stupid folks, but even most of them would have been able to catch a puppy or a baby. It hadn't seemed logical that folks with a great deal of equipment, experience and planning should be unable to get something that's most powerful weapon was its cry.

However, that assumption was being disproven at the moment.

That was due to the fact that while she was able to use her intellect and small size to her advantage, it seemed that flying monkeys were a rather stupid species. They'd try to dive bomb her in groups, but a quick dash under an obstacle would result in pain for them. Her climbing skills seemed to out match thiers, and they came in such large amounts that they bottlenecked at alley openings.

Slowly, their numbers were thinning out, and she soon got a hope that she would be able to break free. Especially when a railway station came into sight. A simple dash inside and into a car, and she would be not only able to lose her pursuers, but she'd have a way to sneak rides back to the station closest to her home. Then it would merely be a bit of a walk back, and she'd be home free!

So she basically darted from cover to cover, keeping herself oriented on her ride to saftey while trying to keep those chasing her from getting her.

Unfortunately, that was not to be.

"Oh, how cute!" proclaimed a familiar voice, "Jean! Come to Azusa!"

Stiffening up, it took a moment for Nabiki to realise who was there, and a few more to remember that she was no longer going to be as safe from that person as she had been. 'Oh no...'

Before the ferret could move, a dainty hand grabbed her up and mashed her to a chest. "This is so wonderful! I'm going to love you and hug you and keep you forever and ever!"

'I am so not liking that idea.'

Since her captor was not telepathic, the comment went unnoticed as she was taken away.

Which left the flying monkeys that arrived just a few moments later scratching there heads as they found nothing there.

Azusa put tugged the bow that she had put on her new friend secure and presented the furry critter to the mirror. "Now, aren't you oh so adorable?"

In response, the cursed girl tried to tug the unwanted garment off.

"Bad Jean! That's not what you're supposed to do."

The ferret merely gave her a 'are you really this stupid' look.

"Now be a good little cutie and be nice for Azusa."

A quiet snort answered that.

"And just until you learn to be a proper little friend, I'm going to put you in here," the skater told her as she put the furry little bundle into a bircage on her dresser. "Azusa doesn't want to lose her Jean like she lost her Charlotte."

Upon being put down, the ferret reached up and rattled the cage for a moment before plopping down in disgust.

"That's a good girl! Don't worry. Azusa will take good care of you."

Nabiki merely wondered if the girl's head was as empty as she thought it was while:
