What Shinji Ikari was found as he entered the place was pure and unadulterated chaos. "Ummm... What's going on?"
"I'm not sure..," Asuka replied as she tried not to dislodge her arm from around his while she looked around, "Seems like everybody's falling apart."
"There's a likely reason for this," Ritsuko commented."
"And you know what it is?"
"You do as well. That bunnygirl."
Snapping the fingers of her free hand, the black mage nodded. "She must have come here with the statues. But if she did, where is she now?"
Misato snorted. "Could be anywhere. This place is huge and someone could get lost in here for days."
"Especially if their name is 'Katsuragi'," her friend drawled.
"Ha ha. Very funny. But seriously, that's only if she's still here, and we can't be sure that she's not back in town partying with them."
"Well..," Maya put in, "We can be sure that she's been here."
"How is that?"
"Over there are some of the girls I work with in the Technical Division. And the last time I checked, none of them had pointed ears and tails."
"That would be a pretty good piece of evidence," one Rei murmured.

"What?" Ritsuko asked.
"Where do we start? I mean, we do have to figure out some plan on what we're going to do, right?"
