"That is why I requested your assistance," responded his companion, a twenty-something appearing man with light purple hair.
"Oh, give a cat a break Zor! I've been bored lately!"
The Father of Robotechnology frowned. "The only reason I asked for your help with this is because I could find no other means to do so. Now could we please hurry along?"
"Ah, poo. Fine! You know the drill, just toss this stone into the well and make your change."
"Thank you."

Date: July 2, 2044 AD. ~ Location: Earth/Mars Half-Way Point, Robotech Earth.
Two of the remaining four fleets of the Robotech Expeditionary Force, Saturn and Uranus Divisions, were beginning defold operations in the halfway point between the orbits of Earth and Mars. Soon the final attack upon the forces of the Invid Regiss would begin.
Sitting near the defold points of Saturn Division was the captured Robotech Factory Satelite, renamed Space Station Liberty by the humans. Liberty had not only been the building site of the SDF-3 Pioneer, it has also been a com-relay station between the REF and the remaining people on Earth.
Having folded itself from Earth L5 Orbit to safety during the arrival of the Robotech Masters at the onset of the Second Robotech War, it had continued to function even to the present day as a refuge for the pathetically small space forces that remained after the end of the SRW all the way through the Invid invasion.
In a standard Robotech timeline, the Regiss, in her escape from Earth, would have performed one final act aginst the humans by destroying Liberty Station. Fortunately for its inhabitants, the universe had other plans for it.
One of the REF's Ikazuchi-Class had committed an error in its fold calculations, appearing in the space already occupied by Space Station Liberty. Space, and consequently the station, warped in order to allow the Command Carrier to exit Hyperspace.
A moment latter, the Ikazuchi 'De Ruyter' appeared, its crew unaware that it had cast Liberty and its forces out of the dimensional plane.
