Ranma faced the gathered pairs, his potential daughters each sitting with her mother (or father when Ranma’s girl side was the mother). He’d heard all their stories as well as the stories of those who had yet to make it to the mass meeting.
It was time to choose.
Taking a deep breath, Ranma dumped a glass of water over his head. Then she pointed at the crowd and in a clear loud voice said, “Pikachu, I choose you!”
Joyously carolling “Pika!” a yellow vaguely mouse like creature about the size of a dog leaped into girl type Ranma’s arms. Meanwhile a blond girl with red highlights and a zigzag tail jumped up and down and clapped her hands in glee.
A stunned frozen silence fell over the rest of the crowd, then with a mighty shout of rage the angry mob
