Rei raised a brow. "What is it?"
"I've got school tomorrow, and if ya haven't noticed, it's already gotten dark. So I think we should all go home for now."
"Understandable," Misato admitted as she looked around at the pinpricks of light in the sky. "Not that I have much to do, considering I've been given some time off because of the engagement."
Asuka sighed heavily as she crossed her arms over her chest. "Not me. I came not only to find Ranma here, but I am a transfer student, you know. And you can't be a cop without studying. What about you ice girl?"
"I've lived on a mountain, without many people around," the yuki-onna replied. "Would not school be a place where love intrests be when they are that age?"
"Hmmm..."
Ranma peered around at the girls and put what they were saying together with the earlier relevation. It didn't seem to work since Shampoo wasn't attending classes, and Kodachi went to another school. But then he realised that he had met the gymnast through school activities, and both Ukyo and Akane were in his class. Though the latter didn't seem to be able to go back to classes right then.
"It's a bargain!" the youngest Tendo muttered.
It did look like she was going to have to stay home for a few days.
"Are you sure about this, Ranma-dono?" Misato asked, breaking into his thoughts.
"Huh?" he muttered unintelligently.
"I wanted to know if you really think we should go. There is time for us to do something else."
"Nah. It'll take me a while ta get back ta the dojo, and Mister Tendo'll be waitin' ta get Akane back. I'd sorta like not ta have him do anythin' 'xcept be happy ta have her safe."
"Then I suppose that we'll have to see each other after school then."
"If ya wanna."
"I sure do," the pilot told him as she gave him a thumbs up. "We'll have some fun without having to worry about crazy kidnappers."
"We could always go out to eat," Asuka inserted easily.
A nod came from Rei. "And I do believe that I would like to continue talking with you, louse."
"No problem... I think," he told them, and went to collect Akane. "C'mon. We've gotta get ya home."
"Sure thing, honey," Akane grumbled.
"Err... yeah..." Confused about the situation, he began to lead her away while:
