The slightly damp and cold air of the morning was a welcome companion for the Minbari ambassador's thoughts, as it was a remainder of her own home world's climate.
While most of Delenn's thoughts were about the Narn-Centauri situation, a part of her mind couldn't separate of the memory of the human commander of the station, John Sheridan. For some reason she felt attracted to him, regardless of the differences of race and culture between them.
She would have continued her divagations, but then she heard a series of sounds which were coming from the sand garden, her favorite spot, that caught her attention. Peeking between the bushes she saw a boy in a strange posture, on one of the rocks inside of the sand garden...

If existed one thing what Ranma missed of the Earth more than nothing, was the green of the trees and the feeling of their smell.
'It feels good.' And with that thought he begun his kata, a fluid dance of kicks and punches, followed for jumps between the rocks in the garden.

Delenn was more than impressed for what she was seeing now. 'I never saw before this... looks like the martial arts of the Warrior Caste but some parts are similar to the technique what our Caste uses... then now he's changed to another form ... WHAT! her thoughts stopped there, when she saw Ranma jump over five meters in the air from the last rock in the garden to a stone pillar outside.
Ranma noted then that his last stunt had a spectator and descended from the pillar.
Delenn walked to him then, and made a bow to present herself.
"It was an honor to see your demonstration young one. My Name is Delenn of Vir. Would you honor me with your name?
Ranma then bowed respectfully to her, even if he was flinching insides ‘This is my first week and I got in problems again. Delenn…the name sounds familiar but for wha ……CRAP!!!…The Minbari Ambassador……why is it always me? ’ he thought at the same time that he spoke.
“Ranma. Ranma Saotome, Ambassador Delenn.”
She acted a bit surprised and pleased for Ranma’s salute and said.
“Answer me something. Normally all the humans what I have meet before, like to salute others with a shaking of hands, but you’re one of the few who has bowed to me. For why?” asked her.
Ranma then relaxed a bit with the ambassador’s question and replied immediately.
“Is common in Japan, of where I am, to do that ambassador.”
“Ohh…I understand now. And can you enlighten me about what martial art were you practicing here?” replied her.
Ranma put a hand behind his head and answered. “It’s called Musabetsu Kakuto Saotome Ryu. It’s a fighting style practiced only for my family in Earth, and is based in integrate any technique of other martial schools into our own school and adapt with ease to any situation.” And continued with an. “Excuse me Ambassador, but I must return to my quarters and report to work soon, has been a pleasure to talk with you.”
“No, the pleasure has been mine to meet you Ranma. Feel free to ask me and my aide Lennier about Minbari’s martial arts.”
His face lit then and he said grinning” Wow….thanks Ambassador. Goodbye!” and he made a run for the exit of the Garden area.
Delenn couldn’t avoid giggling a bit for the last words of Ranma and she begun to return to her quarters, but then Kosh appeared in front of her and said.
“You have met him.”
Startled for his apparition, Delenn replied.
Who...you’re talking of that young human, Ranma no? What is your interest in him?
”He’s unknown…something new...He may change the circles.”
That shocked her silently. For a Vorlon to admit what something is out of their knowledge is rare, but to acknowledge what something or someone can change their plans is unheard.
”Watch him. He’s Life.”
Delenn mediated Kosh’s words while he left her presence.
’Life…and a change in the circles….You will be an interesting subject to know Ranma.’ thought the Minbari Ambassador while she returned to her quarters.
