A Ranma in Aramar: Beast Fighting [Episode 102582]

by Kender

As soon as he landed, Ranma saw the creature coming at him, just as he had planned. He knew that he'd fought plenty of big monsters, and that he could use some of that experience for his fight. Not that he planned to do much at the moment, but as he understood it, they couldn't get the monster while it was hiding. That was totally understandable as far as he could tell, and since that was the case, he figured that someone would have to lure that thing out. And with his skills, he was pretty sure that he could be that person.

Besides, it got him away from the... the... that evil looking feline girl.

Just as expected, it had charged out in a straight line at him, but he was ready for it. Leaping out of the way as it came along, he rolled to the side and came up along the stavanzer. Simply by looking at it he could tell that while the armor wasn't unbreakable, there were easier places to strike, such as at joints. Those had to be allowed to move, and he decided to take advantage of that.

Ducking low, he charged over to where one leg met the body and sent as hard a punch as he could manage into the space. The stavanzer let loose with a roar of anger, and tried to turn on him, but he dropped out of the way and tried to roll under it. He did get that far, but the psuedo-lizard tried to use its feet to stomp on him, which forced him to keep moving the whole time that he tried to hit it. Soon it became too problematic to stay, and he slid out into the clear.

That proved to be an asset to the creature, who ran at him full tilt, forcing him to leap out of the way. But it seemed to be enraged, and charged him again, only to fail once more. However, that didn't stop it, and it started racing at every point that he landed upon. He had to keep on leaping around so that he could keep from getting squashed.

'It's like fightin' Ryouga,' he thought to himself, 'Not too bright, and too angry ta think.'

His thoughts didn't matter to the stavanzer though, and as he leapt over its latest charge, it swung its tail at him. He was nearly bowled over by the assault, and he fell to the ground just as it came to chomp on him. Not in a hurry to get eaten, he caught the jaws with a hand on one each, and tried to hold it back. It kept on pushing though, and he found himself having to work to keep the teeth away.

At least, he had to until a knife found itself buried in the creature's nose. Its jerk from the pain allowed the pigtailed boy to leap up and land on the creature's back, just below the neck.

"Kachu Tenshin Amaguriken!" he called out and started pounding his fists into the neck of the monster. The sudden, intense and repeating pain made the stavanzer bellow in anger, and move to shake him off. He did get off of it, but mainly because he wanted to. Leaping over to the wall near the lair, he stepped lightly as the enraged beast charged at him. It came in a direct line, ready to slam into him with everything it had.

But it missed because he only stayed there for a moment, and jumped off of it. The stavanzer was larger and not thinking, so its momentum didn't let it make the quick change in direction he did. It continued on, and slammed head first into the wall, causing a massive crashing noise that echoed throughout the area.

He allowed himself to smirk slightly at its misfortune as he landed and looked back.

Which was when several daggers and a bolt of lightning slammed into it, with the monk slamming into it with a blow that slammed into the spine at the neck.

The creature crashed to the ground, and lay still, with not a single motion visible.

Turning to where the attacks had come, he tried to calm his breathing down as he saw who was standing there. "So ya guys finally decided ta join me."

"Well, some of us don't think that jumping that far to be wise," Jaim informed him primly.

"Still, that was pretty amazing," Saithe commented.

"Thanks," he replied easily, a selfconfident smirk coming across his face.

"I can wait to find out all about how you did it!" Erma proclaimed.

"ERK!"

Tamlyn leaned against the landed lifeboat and shrugged. "We've landed, and the stavanzer is taken care of. So what's next?"

The wizardess pursed her lips. "Well, I suppose that we could:
