Going down the stairs caused him to stop and stare.
"Morning Ranma!" said Akane with a bright smile. "Pass the rice, would you, Shampoo?"
"Is no problem," replied Shampoo, handing Akane the rice.
"Might I trouble you for another ham okonomiyaki?" asked Kodachi as she held out her plate.
"No trouble sugar," responded a cheerful Ukyo.
Ranma eeeped and nearly leapt through the ceiling as he felt someone grab his buns. "What the ?! KASUMI?!"
"Oh my, I just couldn't help myself," said Kasumi, looking embarassed as she moved past him.
Ranma's jaw was currently hanging in the "down" position.
"Something wrong, Ranma?" asked Nabiki, looking concerned.
"what the heck is going on?!" asked Ranma as he tried to speak with this many shocks to his system. Nabiki was concerned about him? NABIKI?!
"Are you all right, Ranma?" asked Akane.
"What's going on?" Ranma managed.
"What do you mean 'What's going on'?" asked Akane.
"You're all sitting around having breakfast," said Ranma.
"It's morning, some of us go to school," said Nabiki with a nod towards Kasumi. "It would be weird if we were having lunch or dinner, but I don't see why breakfast is such a big deal."
The Nurturer AI saw where this was going. Fortunately it had already anticipated that its simulation might have gaps or incorrect information, or that simply correcting the problems in the scenario the boy had left would leave him struggling with the reality discontinuity.
Therefore it had a rationale already prepared.
"I don't know what's wrong," offered Akane slowly. "Surely you remember -"
