"... nicotine. Hope you don't have a problem with smoking." Mara said with a smirk. Knowing he was a martial artist during his lifetime, and a young one at that, she expected him to react badly to the news.
The pigtailed demon didn't disappoint Mara. "Smoking?" Ranma asked with a frown.
Mara turned to regard the pigtailed demon and smirked. "We still have to pick up a few things for you to be able to go to Midgard. I'll explain as we walk."
Ranma nodded dubiously. He didn't like the idea about smoking. Not one bit.
Together they started to walk through Nifelheim. As he followed Mara the pigtailed demon had his fists clenched tightly. "Soon. Soon I'll have my revenge..."
Mara gazed at Ranma sideways, without him noticing her doing so. She hid a smirk, remembering what Hild told her just as she left her office.

"Do a good job, Mara." Hild said with an evil smirk once Ranma was outside.
"Boss?" Mara blinked, confused.
Hild's eyes flashed. "I can see a great future waiting for Ranma. If you do a good job that future could be of help to you."
Understanding the implied message Mara smirked back. "Got ya, boss."

Mara remained impassive, knowing better than to hint Ranma of her true intentions in helping him. She couldn't help but let the anticipation come forth to illuminate her eyes, though.
Ranma continued walking, thoughts of his imminent revenge filling his mind.
