twang! SPLURCH!
"Whoa, good thing I tripped," said Usagi. "It missed me."
"Yeah, how nice for you," complained Minako as she tried to wipe stickum off. "Hey! This isn't coming off! I can't get my hand to move."
"It appears to be some sort of contact adhesive," said Ami as she observed Minako trying to move her hand off of her face. "How curious."
Minako grabbed her arm with the other hand and tried to pry the one hand off of her face. Resulting in her right hand being stuck to her face and her left hand now stuck to her right arm. "Uh oh."
"Try not to move, Mina-chan," advised Ami.
"Maybe we should," began Usagi, moving around Minako. TWANG! SPLURCH
"Maybe you should stop moving around, Usagi," said Ami as more of Minako was splashed.
"HEY! Wha-woor woor wu woownn!"
"NO! DON'T FALL THIS WAY! oh dear."
Makoto blinked and tried to hide behind a tree. "They almost look like they were playing 'Twister'."
Usagi looked over where Ami and Minako were now tangled up together on the ground. "Ami-chan, I hope that isn't your first kiss."
"MFFF!" said Ami.
"MFFFFF!" said Minako, protesting where Ami's hands had gone to keep Minako from falling on her. Those weren't melons and she needn't squeeze so hard!
"Good grief, you two should get a room for that sort of thing," said a familiar voice.
"Rei-chan?" said Usagi hopefully. Then she got a good look at the new Rei. "REI-CHAN?!"
"I get to play the part of a Dark Minion, recruited by the evil kingdom and forced to attack my former comrades," said Rei, brushing away an imaginary tear. She grinned then and snapped her whip taut between her hands. "Time for you to be punished!"
"WAAAAAAAA!" yelled Usagi, seeing Dark Minion Mars and immediately imagining how much Rei would get into that role. A moment of panic and she was gone, running off through the forest.
"Oh hohohohohohoho! You can't escape that easily, meatball-head!" Dark Minion Mars began going off in pursuit.
"MMMFFFF?!" protested Ami, beginning to have trouble breathing.
"Oh dear, whatever shall I do with you two?"
"HOTARU?!" exclaimed Makoto, her ponytail sticking straight up.
"I decided to join the other team," said Hotaru, looking embarassed.
"You won't get away with that," said Makoto, taking a ready stance and standing protectively near her two fallen comrades. "I won't go easy on you!"
"Let's see, how does this work?" asked Hotaru, fumbling with her wand. A beam of light shot off into the woods.
"Ha!" haahed Makoto. "That went way over my head. You'll have to do better than that."
crack. THUD!
The large tree branch rested momentarily on the top of Makoto's head. Then the branch fell over. A moment or two passed before Makoto keeled over.
"MFFFFF!" protested Ami who was really having trouble breathing now.
"Wow. That was easy," said a suprised Hotaru. "Dark Minion Bishoujo Witch Saturn to Arkangel. Three for pickup."
Haruka had run out of original invectives and therefore just looked very unhappy in various shades of pink.
Completely untouched, Michiru walked three steps behind Haruka, getting more and more nervous. This last was because she knew with absolute certainty that eventually she WOULD get hit, and it would likely be a doozy.
"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" screamed a blur with twin ponytails as she ran past them.
"OHOHOHOHOHHOHOHO! Come back and accept your punishment!" said a leather-clad dominatrix with long black hair as she rushed by in pursuit.
Haruka stared and blinked.
Michiru, elegant as usual, also stared and blinked.
"You don't suppose," began Haruka.
"We shouldn't get involved," said Michiru.
"Right," agreed Haruka.
Twang! Duck! chunk-a-chunk-a-chunk-a-chunk!
"Michiru?" Haruka began looking around. She'd dodged all the globs of whatever that had been that had come flying out at her. Good thing too. That lime green would have clashed horribly. "Michiru, where'd you go?"
The large lime green mass of what looked like it had the consistency of maple syrup began to move behind Haruka.
Arkangel gestured to Doctor Mizuno to take her chair. I expected them to show prior to this.
"That was sneaky of you to go in one direction, then change course once you were out of sight," said the doctor.
Basic misdirection. Instead I've recruited two and captured three more... four more. Usagi and Rei just ran over Setsuna in the forest. That leaves Usagi, Michiru, and Haruka.
