However, Kyretha was a priestess to Lolth, and not a happy camper at the moment.
Though there were many reasons for that, the main one happened to be in the form of the many heretics that had fled to this place. They were traitors to the faith and simply deserved to be destroyed utterly for their actions. But they had run to this place and cowered behind its power in order to protect themselves.
Which wouldn't have been a problem for the true Drow, but it seemed that the surface dwellers had actually managed to raise a defense that outmatch the believers. Every attack had been repelled by a combination of forces that could adapt to the situation at hand. That left the people well protected, and the Drow were forced to sit beyond its bounderies grinding their teeth in frustration.
Yet that was exactly why she had been chosen for this task. Kyretha was not so stupid as to think that Lolth would automatically make everything easy, even as her faith was strong. She was a thinker, and a planner, able to patiently wait for her opportunities. Her magic was strong, and able to readily combat enemies, though the Matrons and higer priestesses had little reason to fear her as of yet. But they were keeping a wary eye on their chosen one, as they were not ignorant of her strategic ability.
That same ability served her well at the moment as she realised the possibilities that the passing ship represented. It was not one of power, though she could tell that there was great importance in it. So if she took advantage of this, she could have a big bag of tricks up her sleeve.
And there was always the possibility that there would be at least one individual that would make a good toy...
Chuckling darkly, she decided that as it wasn't going to be available for long, she had to act fast. Such speed wasn't a problem for a crew like hers as they knew what awaited them if they failed. So they did not question her intrest in the ship.
Not that she cared as she could already see herself gaining some opportunities from that vessel.
From there, she would have a chance to finally crush the heratics.
With a smirk, she stroked her favored lash as she came to the conclusion that it would be best if she:
