"Everyone hang on to something," demanded the elven tour guide.
Various girls who were gawking at the sights saw the ship heading towards them at high speeds and most grabbed for something as the deck they were on shifted.
"They've got some anti-divination spells going," called out some worker. "Can't scry them."
Another sailor called out. "They're not responding to signals."
What followed was a rollercoaster ride that few were ready for even with the brief warning they'd been given. Their Hammership ducked and rolled and dove, trying to keep a distance between them and their attacker. The attacking ship tried to close the distance while matching the sudden course changes.
Three young girls on the deck were aware of screams and yells, some of which were their own.
Three young girls suddenly became airborne as one after the other of their number slipped.
"AAAAHHHHHH!"
The Rowan frowned. Not acceptable, but while she might be a powerful telepath she had access to other skills. Particularly with the tuning crystals she had around her.
Simple enough to reach out like so.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" continued Rin Todoroki as she saw the green fields directly below her.
*Do not fear. I am using a dorje to set up a Feather Fall upon each of you.*
"Huh?" Rin asked as her plunge slowed to a gentle drift downward. She could see Miyuki and Chizuko nearby, also drifting.
*A dorje is a psionic device that allows one to utilize a psychic gift in a different method. I have one that allows me to channel energy into a magical field - a spell called Feather Fall.
"Who are you?" called out Rin, angling her body so that she was now heading slowly towards Miyuki.
*I am called The Rowan, the same name as the dryad you're familiar with however she is simply Rowan while I am The Rowan. Rather like having two girls named Miyuki in your school. I am a psychic who has been keeping an eye out for problems, and I seem to have found one.*
"I'd say that's accurate," agreed Rin. "So we're going to land in that field?"
*Yes. Now I have to go and assist elsewhere. I will notify the relevant authorities of where to pick you up.*
"So," said Miyuki Sakura as the three managed to get close enough to link hands, "we'll at least get to see what things are like outside the guided tour. Real 'behind the scenes' stuff."
"I wonder what is going on with that ship," commented Rin. "They're still going at it up there."
"Yeah," said Chizuko. "Hey, it looks like we're going to land at..."
