Terminatrix Nine: (formerly Setsuna's New Life) - Post Judgement [Episode 105143]

by Kestral

Nine of them. Nine prototypes using the Machine's best upgrades of the technology that had been found at Mishima and other bases.

Ranma was passing the remains of sentinel units as the explosions behind him sent shockwaves through the area. Mishima Heavy Industries Experimental Weapons Facility was now officially closed.

Sergeant Saotome. Switch to frequency 'Gon'.

Ranma switched to the frequency codenamed 'Gon'. "Saotome here."

Additional weapons systems found. Proceeding to base 'Tetsuwan'. Continue with your own orders. Casualties?

Ranma spoke quickly. There might not be any remaining Machines to lock into radio transmissions, but there might. "No casualties. Packages retrieved are nine. Doctor is in."

Sergeant Saeba out.

Professor Natsume was in his element.

These T-9000 units were state of the art, but they were based originally off of a design he knew quite well. The very unit that was now Nuku Nuku. The base technology being the same, he could work out the rest from there.

He'd talked to the somewhat perverted Sergeant Saeba, and he'd talked to others throughout the planning of this mission as soon as they'd detected the buildup of sentinel units at the facility.

Oddly enough, if the Machine had thought to do it in secrecy - the Resistance would only have sent a few stealth operatives in to scavenge for additional weapons systems and repair parts for Nuku Nuku. The buildup of troops guarding the place had been like lighting a signal fire stating there was something going on worth guarding.

They wouldn't have been able to hold the facility against the Machine. Going in and turning hundreds of sentinels and support mech into scrap metal - another thing altogether.

Professor Natsume clicked on a voice recorder. "I have accessed their neural net and reprogrammed the basic tenets. Instead of hunting down humanity remorselessly, they will seek to save humanity. I'm giving them some code from Nuku Nuku's latest upgrades, and the most recent developments in my bioware.

"Per the suggestions of Sergeant Saeba and General Oe, both of whom felt that Sergeant Saotome was getting entirely too much into the brooding loner setting lately, I'm including that they'll particularly seek his approval and friendship. I'm not too sure what General Oe's little program will do in that regard - but I'm downloading that as well.

"These units are not the nanobot intensive units of earlier T-series. No doubt the magno-chem anti-nanite spray we've developed, which disrupts the nanite command process due to my own genius in figuring out how the nanites were controlled, has caused the Machine to fall back on less fancy methods.

"These are all in the shape of attractive young women, which is no doubt meant to cause hesitation on the part of our male soldiers in shooting them down.

"Some of the mechanisms are not terribly sophisticated, which might indicate the Machine is having problems of its own. Something I predicted. With the Machine existing mainly in a net-form across linked computer systems, having eliminated humans who could maintain those lines of communication and power supply - it keeps having to divert resources to repair systems that are either failing or being cut off.

"I have installed a command switch, which I can cut off via a remote control using a code-pulse which I prepared ahead of time. I hadn't expected nine units though, so two will have to do without being activated for now. Getting some of the units active though is necessary for us to be able to move quickly and efficiently instead of lugging hundreds of pounds of inert metal and synthetic flesh.

"Activating first unit."

Eyes snapped open and began darting around.

"I am Professor Natsume," said the professor. "State unit's designation and mission parameters."

The unit blinked a couple of times and then smiled in a friendly fashion. "Unit Usagi. Mission parameters as follows.

1. To Serve And Protect Humanity unless conflicting with rules #2 and #3.
2. To Ensure Human Survivability by defeating Enemy Machine.
3. To Befriend & Seek Approval From Ranma Saotome."

The Usagi unit hesitated and Natsume realized that the fourth line would be Oe's contribution. "4. To
