However, as she watched, it became clear that Morphea wasn't getting off of this one. It seemed like she was almost settling in, and she began to wrap herself around the copy as closely as possible. Then, in an odd turn of events, the duplicate got off the floor and stood up. But there was something off about it, almost as if she wasn't aware of what she was doing.
Which got stranger when the copy started attacking the original. Copycat was surprised by the action, started dodging with her enhanced reflexes, but it was too much for her. She was backed up into a corner and recieved what appeared to be a rather hard punch. That sent her to the realm of the unconscious, and she was out before she hit the floor.
With the last of the group subdued, the Morphea-covered copy came over to the Doctor and stood there expectantly.
"How very interesting..," Francine murmured, with a frown. "You can turn on your original?"
The copy's head shook before Morphea pulled off of her, letting the dazed and out of it duplicate fall to the floor. The newest creation stood in front of her creator expectantly, and gave a happy, "Glorp!"
For a moment, the mad scientist was confused, but then slowly a realisation began to settle in. That last copy had been too out of it to really have focused enough for the attack. But there had been two individuals involved, which meant that if Copycat's double wasn't in control, then Morphea must have been. Then the covering of the body meant that she had to be some sort of control and armoring technique.
This was wonderful in Francine's point of view, as it would allow her to use people against each other and themselves. She could already imagine how much easier it would be to get test subjects when they walked into her lab without stopping. And if anyone got in her way, then she could send Morphea out to make one of them fight for her.
Of course, with the controlling of the duplicate, it was probably easier since it was a part of Copycat, and likely didn't have the power to reject her. So it would likely be a problem when it came to getting involved in such situations. But then it was usually those who had to be protected that would be controlled, and in that case, the 'heroes' would be reluctant to fight.
All of which would be good in her opinion.
Especially the fact that this one actually listened!
Grinning madly, Francine began to plan what she would do while:
