Khyron narrowed his eyes as he looked over the battlefield. He had just dispatched on of the micronian battlemachines, but he and his man had a hard time. He breathed in deep and closed his eyes for a moment as he felt the Flower of Life slowly dissolving on his tongue.
He wasn't really disappointed by the resistance the micronians threw against them, but he knew that the Zentraedi Imperative would be victorious, as it always had been. But he also knew that the victory would be strained by the heavy losses of his men. Especially the losses they took from the artillery of the micronians. He had to do something against it.

Gunner First Class McKinney swore as he watched multiple Zetraedi run towards his position.
"Get that damn thing reloaded!" he screamed towards his men, as they were currently busy to reload the heavy 55 inch cannon.
The cannon was one of the ten heavy Rheinmetall cannons that would have been the main weaponry of a battleship in the old day before B5 appeared. Now it was perfect as stationary artillery for colony defense.
A green light appeared on his console. He targeted the first Zentraedi in the group and pushed the trigger.
The oversized propelling charge accelerated the 55 inch projectile to Mach 3 and directly towards the Zentraedi who hadn't much time to get out of the way. He took the projectile directly into his chest and it created a large hole in his armor and body. In response the other Zentraedi opened fire at the cannon, reducing it and its gunners into a blob of molten slag.

Lieutenant Marek Steiner narrowed his eyes. According to he tac channel, the Tactical Command Center had just found the leader of the Zentraedi battle group. A large red officers pod, like the one that was busy to rip apart a Raven just a hundred meter distant to him.
He swung around the torso of his Kraus Maffei Tiger and leveled the weapons on it and pressed the trigger. Two heavy autocannons, one PPC and four medium Puls lasers fired, but the pilot of the officers pod was fast enough to get away from the powerful blast.
The officers pod had jumped away and now leveled its weapons on Steiner. Steiner smirked.
"Two can play this game," he said slowly and ingnited his jumpjets.
His other hand opened a channel and pressed the play button of his microdisc player. Not many of the human soldiers were surprised about the music coming from their speakers. They knew that Steiner had just entered close combat. And everyone knew that 'Firestarter' from 'The Prodigy' was the right kind of music for this fight.
