And then a familiar voice commented, "She's awake."
"Maybe she'll get up now..."
"I don't know Mars, she looks good like that..."
"Mamoru..?"
"I'llbegood!"
Eyes popping open, Pluto shot to a standing position sent a glare in Uranus' comments about how she looked before realising that she hadn't been dreaming. There was still the royal audience there, the Queen was looking at her with a half smile, and she was the center of attention. For once in her life, she was without a mysterious quip to bring up.
"We trust that you are rested after your... 'nap'," Serenity murmured.
"Ummm... Yes. Yes, I am," Pluto responded.
"Good. Now We are sure that you will want to get right on your engagement."
"I will..?"
"Of course. You do not wish to leave that young man you are to wed waiting."
Thinking it over for a moment, the Senshi of Time nodded. "I'd like to get right on it."
"Then go, and prepare your plans for this engagement."
"Thank you, Your Highness."
"Oh, and Pluto?"
"Yes, Your Highness?"
"Do come back with a smile. We should prefer it if you came back with a smile," the Queen drawled.
"I... I'll try..," Pluto answered, and hurried out.
"I was wondering if you were going to have to use the 'Royal Discipliner' on her," Uranus commented.
"No, We did not wish to do that," Neo-Queen Serenity told her, "Besides, Neptune has already asked about that in reference to you."
The short haired blonde's eyes went wide in shock as her face turned a deep red.
Neptune merely had a mysterious smile on her face.
If there was one thing that Pluto was not planning on doing, it was getting married to Ranma Saotome. Even if he was a handsome young man, he was still not her type, as everything she remembered about him said that he was an unmannered jerk. Added to her aversion to having romantic entanglements of her own, it made for a definate need to do something about that.
But she could not simply get rid of him, as he did have a place in the time stream, especially now. If he was involved with the Senshi, simply getting rid of him could seriously alter things, and she prefered nudges when possible.
Plus the fact that she didn't know what would happen if she tried to get rid of him stayed her hand.
The easiest fix in this instance was simply to move the engagement to one of the other Senshi. She had books, films and other such things, and didn't need the distraction of that sort of relationship, no matter how appealing. Uranus and Neptune were pretty much out as well, though there were things she could do if she wanted to go in that direction. And the Queen was not someone she wanted to involve at all.
That meant that she would have to try to shift the engagement to:
