She entered the throne room, still puzzled, and waited for the herald to announce her.
Waitaminute. When did they get a herald?!
"Announcing the arrival of Sailor Pluto, alias the Guardian Of The Gates Of Time," said the herald, a short haired teenage girl that Setsuna didn't recognize.
"Oh good," said Queen Neo-Serenity from her throne. "We were wondering if you had been held up in traffic."
"I... came as soon as your summons reached me," said the more puzzled Pluto. Why were all the Senshi here? Why was the throne room so crowded? Royal audiences? But why?
"Very good," said Queen Neo-Serenity. "Now all this bit about time travel gives Us a royal headache what with the logic problems involved, paradoxes and causality and the like."
"?!" exclaimed Pluto, shocked that Usagi was using words like that.
"My Queen, the arrangement?" nudged Sailor Venus.
"Oh yes," said Queen Neo-Serenity. "We have concluded that the whole 'Lonely Sentinel Of Time' schtick is rather... unacceptable. Therefore We have arranged for you to have a fiance. Oh dear. We do believe she has fainted."
"How unelegant," commented Sailor Neptune.
"I don't know, I think she looks rather nice sprawled out like that," commented Sailor Uranus with a leer.
"Mamoru, the Royal Reprimander please," said Queen Neo-Serenity.
"Eeep," said Sailor Uranus. "I'llbegood!"
Weighing the large mallet in one daintily gloved hand, Queen Neo-Serenity eyed Sailor Uranus briefly before nodding and handing the weapon back to Mamoru. "We are still unsure of this. While getting Sailor Pluto to lighten up would be nice, We fail to see why she should be the initial choice here."
"Because that was how it originally went," said Mamoru. "It's been quite a while, and after so many centuries one has a tendency to forget details, but we did work out that it was initially Pluto who was engaged to Ranma Saotome."
Pluto had just begun to get up when she heard this, and immediately slumped back down.
Her lips twitched upward as Queen Neo-Serenity observed this. "We think that perhaps We ought to watch this, if she gets over her fainting spells this might just become amusing."
