"What the..."
"Incoming radio massage," came from one of the technicians.
"Open Channel," was the captains reaction, as he tried to pry his eyes from the screen.
"This is Commander McLane of the Space Patrol ship EAS Manhattan," a human English speaking voice said," To the unknown vessel. Please deactivate your engines and weapons and prepare to be boarded."
The captain's eyes went back to the screen than towards Asrial. She was the princess, he had to do what she wanted.
Before the ping of the ships outside had come Asrial wanted to get ready for the transformation, but she forgot about it and also stared at the screen. She looked towards the Captain after hearing the message. She breathed in deep. The message was a shock for her. For all she knew Earth didn't have any form of space flight outside of primitive chemical rockets. And now this.
"Open a visual channel," she finally said.

"Sir, we are getting hailed from the unknown vessel. Audio and Video."
"Put it on screen," McLane said and turned to look at the screen.
He was prepared for some pirate or someone else proclaiming that he would intrude their privacy of private vessels or something like that, but not this. As he looked at the screen, he saw a black and white furred sowhat human face. His first thought was that a furries had finally gotten to space piracy, after they had popped up nearly everywhere on Earth after cosmetic surgery had been able to create them. Not that he disliked furries, some good colleagues were furries after all, but he also knew that there where rarely furries looking like each other. And behind the one on the screen were other people who looked like the furry on the screen and the interior of the space ship wasn't exactly the one of any human ship.
"Incoming fold!" a technician screamed before the person of the screen or McLane could say anything," Signature indicates Hyperion class."
McLane forgot immediately about the open channel as he turned around to the technician.
"Entry point between us and the unknown vessel," the technician continued," Entry in five seconds."
"Fuck," was all McLane said after hearing this.
His patrol group and the unknown where just two hundred klicks apart at the moment and the gravity wave created by the fold entry would give all ships a good shake.
"Brace for impact!" he shouted and closed his seat belt.
A hot white sphere appeared from a single dot right between the patrol group and the Salusian ship and expanded until it reached a diameter of five kilometers. As suddenly as it appeared it disappeared, without any trace, leaving three capital vessels and a few dozen smaller objects behind. All three of the capital vessels spotted the white Jolly Roger on their black colored flanks.
"Pirates," the technician shouted," One Hyperion Heavy Cruiser, two Mussai gunboats and 72 Zaku Mobile Suits."
"Fuck."
McLane still ignored the open com channel with the Salusian ship as he started to give orders.
"All Starfuries concentrate on the Zakus, we need them outta the sky ASAP. Switch point defense to AEGIS computer control, mark the UFO as friendly. And move us between the pirates and the UFO."
Since McLane thought that the Salusian ship was a pirate ship, he had ordered all Starfuries to get into space. Now they streaked away from their positions around the Patrol ships and engaged the Zakus. While the normal Space Patrol Aurora and Thunderbolt Starfuries were faster and a bit more agile than the Zakus, the Zakus had the advantage of being humanoid and humanlike movements.
The Zakus moved closer towards the Salusian ship, while the Starfuries tried to hold them of, resulting in a furball near it, with everyone dodging the energyblasts between the Patrol group and the Pirates. And in between the first breaching pods left the Pirate Hyperion and moved towards the Salusian ship.
"Breaching pods!" screamed the technician," They are moving towards the UFO!"
"DAMNIT! To all Monsoons, get those breaching pods outta the sky!"
Being much faster than the Manhattan and the Olympus corvettes, the six Monsoons streaked forwards, directly towards the gap between the Salusian ship and the Pirate vessels. As they came into range, their point defense cannons spoke, sending plasma towards the pirate Zakus. Most of these shots went wide, and only some were damaging the mobile suits, not getting one real kill.
As the first breaching pod got locked in, the first Monsoon let loose of their first space-to-space missiles, blowing it into the next millennium.
Finally after five minutes and several destroyed Zakus, Breaching pods and Starfuries, the Salusians decided to add their firepower to that of the Space Patrol ships, crippling one Mussai. The main ion cannons of the Monsoons spoke around the same time, blowing it up completely. This was all the pirate captain needed to order a withdraw of his forces, forming a jump hole directly in front of his ship, letting the damaged Hyperion and Mussai escape into hyper space, leaving forty unfortunate pirate Zaku behind.
"Signal the Zaku to surrender," McLane said, before he noticed that the com channel with the Salusian was still open and he could hear the orders yelled by the captain, all in some strange language.
"Damn," was his reaction.
