It was understandable and inevitable that in the formation of the many infinite universes that... well... shit happened. It is so that, when doing comparisons between two seperate quantum realities, that things both remain eeriely similar, and become radically different. And the changes in question are both big and small.
In the this universe, NF[NHS]-03, for example, Proxima Centauri was, while unchanged, .03 light years closer to Sol than in B5's home universe. It is also puzzling why in this universe the planet Venus had a Luna-sized, ice-covered moon. The analogue of Centauri Prime once existed here, but it never cradled the Centauri race due to the expanding of it's sun, now a super red giant.
Were one to compare this reality's Sol System to that of a similar universe, NF[ZW]-02, other such instances would be noted. While in NF[ZW]-02, would follow a path paved once before by B5's native Earth Alliance in its Mars Colonization Project; in NF[NHS]-03, due to a population boom caused by the influx of advanced medicines, the government of Earth opted to begin full terraforming on both Mars and Venus.
On Mars, an enormous EnviroZone, similar to those used by the Psyklo in the Battlefield: Earth movie, was used to seal off Vallis Marineris from the rest of Mars' biosphere. Once the inside was converted into an Earth-like environment, other craters were terraformed.
On Venus, methods similar to those used to terraform the planet in the anime 'Cowboy Bebop' were utilized with great success. Anti-grav platforms (courtesy of gravity control engines) carried genetically engineered plants across the surface, helping to purify the atmosphere.
Other changes occured during the economic situation immediately following the arrival of Babylon 5. In Germany, an up-and-coming company actually benefited from the tech influx and became known as Triax Heavy Industries.
In Japan, Nergal Heavy Industries and Mishima Heavy Industries, in order to prevent bankruptcy, merged to form Nippon Heavy Industries. NHI was now one of the leading mech designers/suppliers to Earth Force. After the corporation that would one day be called Genom (thankfully) went bankrupt, a promising scientist with interesting ideas was left without funding. A year later, Steven Katsuto Stingray was recruited by NHI as head of his own R&D division.
Indeed, many things were similar, yet also different. But only time could tell if this universe would shine among the others.
