But he didn't want to go in with all wands blazing. As it was, this could just be someone trying to fix their pasts, and he didn't want to screw it up if he didn't have to. And attacking straight on would mean that he'd certainly let any enemy capable of time shifting that he was onto them. He had to get more information, and there was only one way to do it.
His main worry was that he'd get as bad as when his teachers had pulled a home visit on him. At least he could make a good impression by leaving Tajra behind, since that would keep his tower under watch, and her from surprising the family of this girl.
He just wondered why he was so concerned about leaving her behind.
Minako was having trouble with the concept of having a fiance. She'd been after having at least a boyfriend for so long that the idea of having the whole 'marriage' thing being put on a silver platter was a bit overwhelming. Part of her was cheering at the top of her lungs, while the other was worried about being stuck with an ugly and annoying boy who'd be more interested in putting his hand up her skirt than being romantic.
So sitting with her parents at the moment was an enormous strain as she tried to reconcile with concept of not being stuck alone for the rest of her life.
However, her hopes and worries were interrupted by the sound of a knock on the door.
"I'll get it," her father said as he put down his paper and went to open the door. "May I help you?"
"Is this the Aino home?" their visitor asked.
"Yes, it is."
"Well, my name's Ranma Saotome, and I'm a teacher at Saint Bishomon's. Your daughter's name was on the list for my homeroom, and so I decided to make a visit to come see you all."
Perking up at the first part, the Senshi of Love realised that her previously unknown fiancee was at her front door, which meant that she was going to get her first glimpse of the guy she was supposed to marry. Her breathing quickened as panic settled in, and she got ready for what she alternately hoped and feared.
"Then why don't you come in," her father said, and lead their visitor into the house.
"Thank you," came the reply in the admittedly good sounding voice as they walked inside.
Which was when Minako got her first view of the guy her parents expected her to marry. He had a handsome face framed by hair that was wondefully untamed. His nicely trim body was clad in an outfit that looked like it cost a lot. And he held himself with an air of confidence and intellect.
All sorts of fireworks went off in her brain as she sat there frozen in happy shock.
"I'm her father, and this is my wife," the Aino patriarch said, gesturing at each in turn, "And this is our daughter, Minako."
"Good too meet you Ma'am," Ranma told Mrs. Aino.
The elder woman smiled at him. "Nice to meet you too."
"Hello Minako," he said to his student.
Said student just sat there and stared.
"Don't just sit there Minako!" her mother admonished, "What do you say?"
"I do..," Minako breathed with a smile on her face, before blinking at the stares that she got. Realising what she'd been doing, she blushed heavily and hoped to whatever spirit, deity, or whatever that she had not screwed up too badly with her hunk. There was no way that she wanted to mess this chance up.
Ranma was puzzled by what was going on, but he shrugged it off for the moment, while:
