"Eek!" said more than one of the Angels.
Haruka growled.
Akane looked at all the faces of determination. Fear. Hatred. Disgust. They looked completely sincere to her.
Nabiki watched carefully. Snake-girl might appear calm but there was a cold anger there. The remainder of the girls she could see from this angle - they still were pretty open. The emotions they betrayed were sincere.
A chubby man in a dirty gi walked out of the kitchen.
Hisses of breath and an increased growl from Haruka indicated exactly who this was.
"Genma Saotome, I presume," guessed Nabiki.
"That's right. It's time Soun... one of your daughters can marry my son," began Genma.
"NO! He's my Master!"
Ami looked embarassed and contrite abruptly as she realized she had spoken.
"Quite a big family you have here," said Genma. "Ah, Soun, you decided to play the field after all. I always knew you were a real ladies' man."
"Ixnay, my old friend," said a suddenly nervous Soun.
"Even after your first girl was born, I remember ol' Don Soun - the Japanese Casanova. More than once your skills in that regard got us out of punishment at the hands of outraged villagers," continued the proud Genma.
"You cheated on Mom?!" Akane asked her father, aghast at the concept. Nabiki and Kasumi looked a little shellshocked.
Soun shook his head from side to side in great disagreement.
"Hmmm. That one looks like that mountain girl, Sendai wasn't it?" guessed Genma. "That samurai chick."
"Ixnay on the oolingfay oundaray," said the heavily perspiring Soun. "Besides, I used protection... oh hell. I mean I never went that far. I mean..."
Kasumi fell over, nearly petrified by the idea. Nabiki dropped her rice cracker. Akane stared at nothing in particular as the shock washed over her.
