Setsuna's Fault: Technomagic [Episode 107455]

by Kestral

Ranma flexed and twisted the legs before settling back into his chair.

He'd worked out the basics of the transformation that the Senshi produced, and while he wasn't able to duplicate those pens - he could emulate something of their effects.

He'd also worked out the whole concept of an energy field that could be tapped into, dubbed "magic", with the Senshi each tapping into a pure wellspring of a particular frequency of that energy. While he lacked that wellspring, he could tap into the "flow" with some work.

Hence his new limbs. Steel bones under brass muscles with silver nerves. The "skin" was bronze except for the hard black plastic of the joints.

These didn't work as well as they might have, his artificial limbs didn't grant him superhuman strength or speed. They lacked the full range of sensation that human flesh had, and were frustratingly clumsy at times. Still, better than not having them altogether.

Science was figuring out how something worked, and the underlying principles of it. Technology was just the application of science, of taking what worked and applying it in a manner deemed useful. Ranma was researching magic as a science, and using what he learned in a technological approach.

Technomagic - the technological application of the scientific research of magical forces.

Ranma knew some benefits already. He'd worked out a few things that he thought would be handy. One of which was showing two sources of magical energy approaching his apartment. One was familiar - Hotaru in her guise as Sailor Saturn, moving very quickly. The other much less familiar but Ranma thought the signal might indicate Sailor Pluto.

Had Pluto discovered who had saved Hotaru's life when she and the other Outers had been intent on eliminating the "soldier of sacrifice"?

BLEEEP!

Ranma gave a silent whoa as four more blips appeared well behind Hotaru.

Curious as to what was going on, Ranma
