If Shinji had learned one thing, his genies did not have infinite power. He had learned this lesson the hard way when he had tried to wish all the Angels away, and had instead only left his genies exhausted, the wish unfulfilled they said, and had likely only ticked the Angels off.

In the heart of a volcano, an Angel still in it's sleeping form shifted in annoyance at a metaphysical encroachment on it's existence, and went back to sleep.
+++++++
On the other hand, their power –did- seem to be growing every time Shinji made a wish, but at the same time, Shinji had the sinking feeling every time they granted a wish they became just a little less human: Well, in Rei's case there wasn't much to begin with.
But the ultimate true had yet to settle in . . . Rei . . . was his –sister-! Maybe half sister, but sister all the same! It had never occurred to him once how much she and his, their, mother looked alike, now it was as plain as day. And this brought up old questions with much stronger force . . . was it right for him to own his own sister?! The idea of family was something he had next to no experience with. And then came the whole 'sisterhood' thing that the three dijinn had accepted as their fate. Oh boy.
+++++++
Ritsuko looked over the test results, physically she couldn't tell the before and after between the three dijinn. Their DNA was precisely the same, even in Rei's case. What had transformed them had been purely metaphysical so it made a fair amount of sense that there would be few material changes. But there the similarities ended. This may have sounded odd, but indeed, their DNA was the only thing about them still the same.
The brain waves of Rei and Asuka were little like they had been, and were progressively becoming identical to each other, as was Misato's! To make things more interesting, the underlying AT field that all humans possessed had been completely restructured and bore no resemblance to how it had once been.
Then there was simply their behavior, while Shinji had told them to act 'normal' that 'normal' Ritsuko could tell was becoming just a part for them to maintain their farce rather than 'pretending nothing was wrong.'
According to some scriptures, dijinn were created after angels but before humans so the fact that Rei had said it was like being in between the two held some logic. As if logic had anything to do with this.
While the genies were doing their acting well enough, close friends not in the loop were beginning to smile something. Class Rep Hikari noticed how Asuka's grand standing seemed more like quoting lines than the real thing. And the dumb and not so dumb pair wondered why Asuka didn't bother to insult them on sight and since when did robo-Rei . . . well . . . maybe the robotic servant wasn't all that different for her, but . . . oh what the heck hell would freeze over before anyone thought Rei was acting strangely unless she started smiling.
However, her dwelling was put to an end when she heard the commander's voice.
"Doctor." The Commander's hand was on the shoulders of a fourteen year old albino child. "This is the fifth child, Kaworu Nagisa, begin sync testing for him as soon as possible."
'Well this was very unexpected.' Thought Ritsuko.
"Hello Miss, it is a pleasure to meet you." Kaworu made a note this time not to flaunt his ability to sync at any level he chose, he didn't want to end up in the crushing hands of Eva-01 too soon. Ritsuko sent out a mental message to the Magi to continue the comparison on Dijinn, Human, and Angel data while she took care of this formality. It was odd, the Magi were based off of pieces of her mother's personality, but they didn't seem like her mother at all, like her mother's spirit, her soul, was missing, where could it be?

Eva-00's eyes glowed for one moment before dying back down.

"You're joking right." Kaji's ever-mysterious UN contact said.
"Cloning of super natural entities, possession of religious artifacts, using the dead-sea scrolls to plot out possible ends of the world, and you say 'you're joking right?' "
"Granted, but this is kinda hard to put down on paper, let along explain to the security board, who are still ticked off at so much of their fleet being used a lamb to protect Eva-02 by the way, who you ditched."
"A triple agent has got to maintain his cover."
"Another one to you, but what exactly do you want me to tell them?"
"Just that another factor has been thrown into the mix besides SEELE and NERV trying to back stab each other, or the Angels trying to reach Adam."
"Right . . . got it . . . don't get shoot."
"Not today . . ."
+++++++
One thing Ruby realized on her own soon enough was just how –wrong- it felt not to have any wishes from Master to carry out. Oh sure she could enjoy the beach just fine, but that itching at the back of the dijinn's head would just not go away. The sweet feeling of purpose Eva-02 gave was a shadow compared to that which serving Master could give her. 'I exist to serve.' Ruby thought calmly. She best get back to see if Master needed anything and had forgotten he could speak to them mentally.

Shinji thought about how to best approach Ritsuko about letting Misato become a pilot. The genies were all for it because it meant Shinji less in harm's way (though Shinji couldn't prevent the total loathing of being side lined, he hadn't done much in his life, and piloting his dad's giant robot was one of the few things he had proven good at.). But Ritsuko was a practical woman, and then there was his father. He could just wish Risuko to accept Misato as a pilot, but that didn't feel right, maybe he could, however, do the opposite.
He rubbed the ring and Misato, in her purple plug suit appeared, bowing before standing upwards, Shinji repeated the process with Rei. Asuka was the next to appear, arriving home at just the right time for no contrived reason at all.
"Misato, I mean Amethyst, do you truly wish to be an Eva-pilot?"
"Yes Master, so I may take risks that you won't have to." Amethyst obediently.
'Well if it's what she wants.' " Amethyst, I wish you fit all the requirements to an Eva pilot."
Amethyst's eyes glowed purple, before a purple flash of light covered her body. When it vanished, everyone in the room gawked, and Asuka swore in German.
"What?" Amethyst covered her mouth at the sound of her own voice. She looked down at herself, and yelped.
Shinji himself was surprised, where before Amethyst was taller than him easily, now she was just an inch, maybe two shorter! Her figure had become petit. She was fourteen year old.
" . . . now I'm too young to drink even if I wanted to!" Amethyst huffed.
"When Master wished for all requirements to be fulfilled, it seemed Amethyst subconsciously fulfilled the wish in precise detail." Sapphire said.
The part of Ruby that was still Asuka smirked. "Heh just one of the girls now? Ya think this means we'll be moving in with Kaji?"
Amethyst 'eeped!' at that.
"Aw don't worry about it." Ruby leaned on her shoulder. "It'll be loads of fun I'm sure."
