'Master allows me to walk free when I want to, but I still feel a bit odd.'
Asuka dove under the waves and smiled to herself. 'Don't need to breathe if I don't want to.'
She frowned a bit, as an unpleasent thought came to her. 'If it was Toji or Kensuke, I would only be let out to grant wishes and then put back in.'
The genie girl broke the surface of the water and flipped her hair back.
'Amethyst and Sapphire have adjusted fairly well. I gues it'll just take me some more time. I know Dr. Akagi wants to check over my sisters and I to see what the differences are between a human, an angel, and a djinn.'
Asuka swam to the shore and lay back on a towel, not bothering with sunscreen. She felt someone approach her. Lifting her head, she saw a young boy about her age with red eyes and grey hair. Narrowing her eyes, she felt something different about his boy.
"Who are you?" Asuka asked.
The boy bowed a bit and replied, "I am Kaworu Nagisa. I was sent to act as a back-up Eva pilot."
"I see," Asuka said, and focused her thoughts on her words. "I'm Asuka Soryu-Langley the pilot of Eva-02. I wasn't told of any back-up pilots."
"Things have came up that have forced some changes to be made."
Asuka snorted and lay her head back down.
Kaworu siad, "Lovely day, a day not to be cooped up."
Asuka replied, "Leave me alone; I'm trying to relax."
"Very well. I'll see you later."
Asuka sighed and thought. 'Cooped up? If it wasn't that Master cared so much, I would be in my gem.'

Kaworu sighed sadly, as he walked away. "What was that saying the Lilim use? 'If you give someone enough rope, they will hang themselves'. Shinji is giving the three too much rope. This is going to be more difficult than I thought."
