"I already told you, Osborne," the Goblin said impatiently as he paced back and forth through the study, grotesque masks staring at him from all angles. "It was a trap! They set a trap for us, Osborne. Somehow they've figured out my connection with Oscorp."
"Then won't they come here?" Norman asked, looking about the windows nervously.
"Not yet, Osborne," the Goblin said. "Not yet. They don't know who my ally in Oscorp is yet. They just knew I'd come if they threatened the company."
"So what do we do?" Norman asked. "Just let them chop away my life's work bit by bit, because the spiders will be waiting?"
"No, no, no! Osborne, you don't see anything do you?!" the Goblin snapped in disappointment. "How did they set this trap?"
"That little Japanese brat..." Norman stopped short after a moment. "Is she...?"
"Either she's one of them, she's allied with them or they simply made use of her announcement," the Goblin reasoned. "In any case, she is an enemy, and she's an enemy we know where to find."
"I have to be at the dinner with my son," Norman said. "It's Thanksgiving."
"This will take but the time of a heart beat, Norman," the Goblin retorted angrily. "The time it takes for a heart beat to stop that is."
