He'd seen Spider-Rose use the latter once, against the robbers on the day he'd first contacted Kodachi Kuno. It was some sort of paralysis gas or something. Half the robbers that were caught in it had been incapicated by coughing before Spider-Rose had reached them.
Now, he had the proof, he had to find a fall guy. Somebody like him, young, risk-taking, in the public eye. Somebody like that Parker punk who was selling his photos to the Daily Bugle. He was perfect, he was even already connected to the spider angle.
Surely, if he found out who one of the Spiders were, he'd break the story. Getting such a big exclusive so young, he had to be an ambitious kid. He'd be perfect.
As soon as he saw Kodachi again, he'd have his story ready to tell her.
And little did he know that he was playing right into the Black Rose's hands.
