"Why did my mother die?" Kasumi asked, inwardly wondering the reason she had chosen to ask "why" and not "how."
A few moments later and Kasumi actually screamed, a fact which stopped everything from everybody that knew Kasumi. She glanced toward her grandfather and paled, stepping away.
And Nabiki took the Eye as everybody crowded around it again, aside from Gothwrain who stepped back among his guards, frowning.
The scene showed a wererat woman walking nervously with a werecheetah.
"You risk, too much," the werecheetah said. "Gothwrain..."
"He won't act against me yet," the rat said. "Just warn your people, and I'll warn mine, if they'll - " The woman shuddered and her eyes started to glaze over.
"Daria?!" the werecheetah gasped in shock before he too twitched and fell over. Then a younger Gothwrai stepped out with a silver dagger.
He slashed the cheetah's throat first and was moving to the wererats when a voice familiar to the Tendos cried out.
"Father! They've smelled a cheetah in...the...area?" Kimiko Tendo stood in stark terror as she saw her father plunge the silver knife into the body of their people's spiritual leader. "A...assassin! Traitor!!"
She started to run away calling out loudly when the dagger struck her back. It didn't kill her right away, no, the silver burned her to death, painfully.
Then the eye went dead again...
